Christmas is here

Merry Christmas, my friends. I am in the midst of cooking while writing this, I hope this day finds you happy and healthy. If you find yourself lonely or grieving this day, I am sending you much love. Yesterday Jacob and I went on Christmas Eve fun downtown.

We are both vaxxed up and masked. New York City at Christmas is a magical place even with the rising strain of covid. There is a lot of free things to do in the city, so you don't have to spend a lot. Free is going to the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller center. If your child loves trains like Jacob does, don't forget the transit museum outlet in Grand Central Station.

Of course, holiday cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery is always a staple. I feel it's the frosting that is truly alluring to taste buds. Jake is enjoying it as you can see. Now I know it may be late with this, I have two or three movies to watch today or this week.

Yes, I did miss Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving! I wish they had been in it!! I enjoyed Matrix Resurrections. I came into the movie with no expectations, only happy to see Neo and Trinity again. Keanu Reeves and Carrie Anne Moss are magic together. It was great to go back to the Matrix. If you are a fan, go see it with an open mind. How they bring back Neo is wild! That's all I am going to say there.

On tubi tv, I saw the sweet Christmas movie: Snowbound for Christmas! It is a light and fun romance from a harlequin novel of the same name. Henderson Wade and Zarrin Darnell-Martin are a lovely couple to watch fall in love. I love sweet romances with people who look like me!! I am also recommending the movie Husband for Christmas starring the new queen of Christmas movies: Vivica A. Fox.

Vivica is in about five other Christmas films, I believe as the lead and co lead!! This one was a fun one. Vivica plays a graphic designer ,who to keep her job as the new vp, has to marry a British graphic designer so he can stay in the country! It gets even more madcap as it goes on.  I enjoyed watching Brooke (Vivica) and Roger (Ricco Ross) get to know each other and fall in love. I saw it on Tubi tv but I am sure it can be found on other cable stations or online. If you have seen any of the movies, I talked about.  Please let me know, I love to hear your thought.

Wishing you all a wonderful, safe and healthy Christmas, my friends.

Have a Magical Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, my friends. I feel like ever since Winter starts to New Year's Day, it is a truly magical time. I hope you are able to spend time with friends and family in person or via the phone/zoom/facetime. I will be spending the day with my family of four.

As a mom, one of my favorite gifts is the arts and crafts that Jacob makes then gives to me proudly.  It is one of the sweets gifts I can get for Christmas. Keeping in the idea of sweet gifts, I want to do something for all of you. Here is a card for Christmas for all of you or whenever you read this.  These cards are from The Angel Guide Oracle Deck by Kyle Grey and Jennifer Hawkyard.  Pick 1, 2 or 3. Which ever number you pick is your message for today. Are you ready? Did you pick your number? Now scroll down to your card.

If you picked 1. Your card is

Ask for help, my friends. Ask for what you want! Stop saying no to your true hearts desire because by doing that, you are blocking your blessings from coming through. Ask, then watch how what you desire comes to you. Let things be easy, my friends. A lot of things in life we think should be difficult, doesn't have to be.

If you picked  2,  your card is

You have been ignoring your deepest thoughts and feelings! There is so much wealth of knowledge inside of you. Today is the day to listen to yourself. You are going to listen to those intuitive nudges and begin to act on them slowly. Day by day. If people come to you with their opinions on your life, remember this is your life! Tune them out, follow you inner compass.

If you picked 3, you card is

Now is the time not to fight. Now is the time to find your inner peace, be still and wait for the right moment to act or do later. You will be guided to that moment. Breathe and know you are never alone.

I am wishing you all the best and brightest on Christmas for you and your loved ones.

Christmas Night in Harlem

Happy Christmas Eve, my friends. I know this may be a different Christmas than we usually have. I hope you are all finding a way to stay safe and festive. Here is one of my favorite artists: Dandy Wellington singing Christmas Night in Harlem. Enjoy.

Merry Christmas

Love came down at Christmas,
Love all lovely, Love Divine;
Love was born at Christmas;
Star and angels gave the sign.
~Christina Rossetti

Wherever you are, I hope Love fills your heart today and during this beautiful Christmas season.
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Yule, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa. This is time of celebrating Light returning
to the world. Winter is the season when the light returns back. Light to me is intertwined with Love.
For that feeling of light can be amplified when we are with people we love the most. I know
today when I was strolling around with Jake. I felt my heart filled with light to be with my
sweet son.

If you find yourself alone on this day, know you are never truly alone. Our loved ones who have passed
on are with us. That I know for sure. There is many a day when I feel my gram and other loved ones close
to me. Our guardian Angel, I believe we all have at least one, is with us always. Our Angel friend
who chimes in when we need guidance the most. Know that you are loved in this world and in the next.

I'm wishing you Love and Light. And of course, yummy hot cocoa and holiday cookies too.

It's a good thing

We are almost two days away from Christmas. Happy Yule to those are currently celebrating that holiday.
I was in the mood for something Christmassy. I don't have the Hallmark channel which I wish I had.
I went on you tube and behold: Martha Stewart to the rescue.
I loved her shows especially back in the day when she filmed at her home at Turkey Hill.

(I couldn't resist this picture of Martha when she was a model.)

I never was one of those people who got stressed out watching her show. It was informative and
inspirational for me. She still is! So sit back and relax. Spend an hour with Martha way back in mid 90's.
It is a good thing.
