My birthday

How can a life be measured? By days, months,
years? Or perhaps experiences and moments better
define a life.



I am 50 today. I am embrace my age and
all the experiences I've had. It has been
so far a great life. I know even better things
are around the corner.


I have manifested dreams true and still have
more to do so. I have gone from child to teen
to maiden to mother. I am always the optimistic
dreamy romantic girl inside. I know whatever
comes, I'll still be that.


If I could spread my birthday magic to you, I say
remember you are here for a reason. You are a
divine spark like I am. Live, love and enjoy as much
as you can.

My every day

Happy Monday, my friends. A little slice of my
my life in this moment.

Her is my sweet cat: Jet.



She loves to sit on my lap especially when
I am doing something important.



These tealights actually smell like rose with
a hint of winter in it. If that makes sense.
It may have a bit of pine essential oil in it.




Comfort reading with Betty Neels. I am especially
partial to her plain Jane characters. I did a whole
post on Betty Neels here.



I love Woman's World Magazine. I have been reading it
since 2003, when a good friend of mine introduced
me to it at work. Full of inspiration and good stories.



Burlington opened a new store in the local mall
right near my house. I picked this up. It smells
wonderfully. I have a fondness for sweet floral scents.




I got this book from eBay. It is a good read filled
with great information. I have been reading it slowly.
If you are into alternative healing and angels,
this book is for you.




This is me. In one of my favorite nightgowns
from Etsy. One of the best things about releasing
weight is I can shop more. A lot of my old
clothes don't fit.

Birthday Full Moon Sunday

Today is a very special day for me!! If you haven't guessed from the title above of this post. It's my birthday!! Woo hoo!!! I am 47 today.


Here is one of my favorite baby pictures. If you have been to my blog before, you have seen this picture of me at 3 months old. I think I still look pretty much the same.



I'm one of those birthday lovers who not only love to celebrate my birthday but everyone's birthday. Birthdays are special days that needs to be celebrated.


I'm wishing a Happy Birthday to all my fellow Aquarians out there.If your birthday happens to be on January 24th like mine, well you get a special hug from me. We had a crazy blizzard here out on the east coast yesterday. Last night was the Full Moon in Leo. Since the energy of the Full Moon lasts for another two days. I claim this Full Moon for my birthday too.



I always call this moon the Rock Star Moon. Leo Energy is all powerful and radiant like the sun. This picture of Jillian Hervey of Lion Babe echoes all that Rock star energy for me. All my Leo sun and moon babies, this is your special moon. For all of us, where can you be more of a Rock Star in your life? Are you playing second fiddle in your own life? Are you not speaking your truth and dimming your light to allow others to shine. Oh, no more. It's time to be seen, be heard and stand out!! If you are an Aquarius like me, you know we Aquarians love our freedom. If you are not free in parts of your life, it's time to be Free!! This is a recent favorite picture of me in December when I went to Atlantic City. See that big smile, I felt free on that day.

Birthday Celebration

Whoo!!! YAY! It's My Birthday.

I love Birthdays. My own and other's people
Birthdays. It is a day to celebrate who you are.
Whether it's small or big celebration. You should honor
yourself on your birthday. Your birthday is
a divine appointment that was made to usher
you into this beautiful and crazy world.


Want to know how old or young I am?
Depending on your point of view.
Because I think of myself as just me,
the age is a number.

I'm 42!! Yes, I am. The same 42 which
is the answer to the ultimate question of the
universe according to writer Douglas Adams
from Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. ( A great
series, by the way)

So hopefully by my next birthday, I figure
out what that is!!

I have accomplished a lot in my
life and there is way much more to do.
I'm excited to see what 42 brings to me.

Remembering

Every time I look at my face, I see him.

Dark Places

I do my best to keep Swan of Dreamers as close
to me how I really am in life. By nature, I'm glass half
full kind of woman.

Yesterday, my boyfriend, Anakin, challenged me with
love to say what is really bothering me. Then
it came pouring out of me beyond financial and personal
worries. Grief: deep, muddy and thick.

As some of you know and for new readers, January 2009
one of my best friend died unexpectedly. In the past
couple of months, I feel like I have truly accepted
his death. I guess I thought I was okay. I had passed
some imaginary mark. I've been like a bull just barreling
my way through stuff because that's what I do get through things.

Last night, I realized I can't. I'm still grieving.
I'm angry, hurt and not sure which way is up sometimes.

Why I am writing this? Even with the beauty, joy
and good of life, there is pain. The only way
we can heal is to deal with it even if it takes
you to dark places.

Honestly, I haven't wanted to go there for a while.
I have to again. I have to keep going back to my
grief until it's all spent. Until I can think
of my friend and it not rip at my heart.

This weekend, I'm taking time to be with my
grief. Remember my friend even if I have to
cry my eyes out to do so.

If there is someone out there, who is grieving.
I want to let you know you are not alone.

Thunder Moon

Happy Full Moon. As all the moons, this moon has many
names. In honor of all the rain, lightening and thunder
we have been having in New York. Calling this moon the
Thunder Moon is appropiate to me.

This is a special full moon for me because it's under
my sign of Aquarius. All who have Aquarius in their
sun or moon sign, this is your moon.

Whenever the Aquarius Moon comes up for, changes always
come about. This week I had a nasty encouter with someone
I work with via e-mail. I was hurt and angry. I could
hear Vader's Theme in my head. What it reminded me is
when people say mean things to you without provacation,
I'm being shown there shadow self. We all have our shadow
side, knowing when and how to use it appropiately is something
we have to learn. I call on my Shadow side when I need
extra energy to deal with harsher things in my life. I do
so carefully.

When people lash out, you always have a choice
whether you will continue to deal with them or not. I have
decided once my commitment is done with this person, I am
choose not to work with them again. Please remember, No one
has the right to treat you bad or mean! I don't care who
they are!!! You always should be treated with respect.


For everyone else, you can use the Aquarius Moon to shake
things up. Think outside the box today and Monday. Do
the unexpected from your normal routine. Be rebellious
and zany. Live it up. Be free.

The energy of the Full Moon sticks around for another
day. Have a beautiful Sunday and Full Moon.

Monday

Caught a nasty stomach virus, so I'm down
for the count. I'll be back on Wednesday.

In the meantime, listen to an oldie but
goodie from Kool and The Gang for some
inspiration for your week.

Nine

This is me at 9 years old in 5th grade. Slightly toothless with that oh, so fake nature background they used back in the day for school pictures. Some parts of my hair in this picture looks a bit gray..have no idea why.

Do you remember being nine? What things do you still love then and now? I love to hear.

As you have been giving yourself permission to do what you want and listening to your thoughts, I hope you are working on your dreams daily. Your 9 year old self would want you to be happy, right? So get to work and play on your dreams.

Balloons

I woke up this morning to actually feel like I can smile at the blue sky and the sun. My new motto or mantra of Embrace and Endure is going to help me in the days and weeks ahead in a big way.

Now, why do I have Balloons here? Balloons always make me happy. There is something cheery and light about them. Whenever I see someone with a whole bunch of balloons, I always want to ask them if I can have one.



Of course, these days I like to have the pink balloon to walk around with.
When I see balloons flying high in the sky, I wonder where they are going to end up?

What makes you happy at first glance? If you see balloons today especially a pink one, I hope you think of me.

Fun and Random facts about Me

Hi everyone. My mom is still taking baby steps with being online. I'm hoping to get her signed up with an e-mail address by week's end. It's Wednesday, I feel it's time for more Random facts about me!

1) I've been drawn to the color Pink for Spring.


2) I'm enjoying the freedom of being single; I can take time to get clear on the type of man I want to attract in my life.

3) I'm craving to read Jane Eyre, so I can return to Thornfield Hall with Jane and Mr. Rochester.

4) I have to find out when Toshi Kubota is performing in NYC, so I can see him perform live. He's a soulful Japanese man.

5) I also want to get this CD again. I lost it when my computer crashed. Along with music from the tv show, Ron Perlman is reading poetry as Vincent. It is beautiful. Always get me in a dreamy and romantic state of mind.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. It's time to go out and get into an adventure or two. I'll be back tomorrow. As always, sweet dreams to you all.

Happy Monday

Happy Monday. I see I have some people ready to be dangerous and dream with their eyes open!! Spring is the perfect time to shake things up and live boldly!! If you have no idea what I'm talking about, read the post from Sunday.

I've noticed the buds on the trees are staring to appear. I'm excited it is Spring. Unfortunately, it 26 degrees here in New York!! Hey, the sun is shining. Just have to be patient, right?

Going to my mom's today. She is going to be connected to the internet for the first time!! Look out internet here comes my Mom. I also have been surfing in creative worlds with Neo. We have been hanging tight recently. It has been really great for me. He comforts me and inspires my flights of imagination. (Gosh I hope that doesn't sound corny.) Especially with all I have been going through, I am glad he's back in my life. He makes me feel that I can do anything I put my mind to which is why I call him Neo.

I must now venture into the Spring cold afternoon. Spring and cold should not even be in the same breathe. Take care everyone. As always, Sweet Dreams to you all.

Fun for Thursday

Wow, yesterday was crazy. Getting acquainted with my new Laptop and playing catch up with a lot of things. Today I feel a lot calmer.

I wanted to have fun. Here is my random list of five things about me.

1) I love surfing and watch it every chance I get. Though, I can barely swim.

2) When I was a kid, I believed in a past life I was a pirate.

3) This is one of my favorite pictures. I had it for over two years, before I found out he is real person: Jason Momoa from the show Stargate Atlantis.

4) I love to wear my Dolphin earrings to remind me to flow in life like they do in the water.

5) I adore India Arie's song : A Beautiful Day from her new cd. Go on and listen.
