The Sun returns!

Happy Winter, my friends. Rejoice the sun is coming back. Today is the shortest day of the year. The sun will set a little later each day in a few days from today.

Happy Birthday to all the Capricorns out there; This is your season! When Winter comes, I know it will be my Birthday in a little over a month too. So I get excited when Winter comes. I am an Aquarius, btw!

Last week, Jake and I went to get ice cream on one of the coldest days of the year so far. As far as we are concerned, there is no reason not to eat ice cream.

Dream Thought #112 : Winter Pleasure

Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand
and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.

The Sun returns..

Happy Winter, my friends. The Sun returns.
From a few days hence, the days will start to get
a little longer.

Where are all my fellow Winter babies at?
Capricorns, Aquarians, Pisceans. It's our
season now. What winter dreams do you have?
My birthday is coming up in a bit over a
month, so I am making plans what to do
for my big day now. Also creative ideas
and other appointments that I need to
get done. Still it's time to celebrate
the Winter Solstice

Here is inspiration here and here how to celebrate

Dream thought # 86: For the love of Snow

On the contrary, I put up a petition annually, for as much snow, hail, frost, or storm, of one kind or other, as the skies can possibly afford us.

Surely every body is aware of the divine pleasures which attend a winter fire-side: candles at four o’clock, warm hearth-rugs,

tea, a fair tea-maker, shutters closed, curtains flowing in ample draperies on the floor, whilst the wind and rain are raging audibly without... ~Thomas De Quincey, Confessions of an English Opium Eater.

Winter Dreams

The Sun has returned! Happy Winter, my friends. It is the longest night yet the days will begin to get longer.

Winter is a special time for me. I am Winter baby. When I see the Pine Trees come into their own, I know my season is about to begin.

It's a new Season. A new year to begin in less than two weeks. It is a great time to reflect and dream. What dreams you like to begin? Or recommit to? Do you have your word, words or theme of the year? I have my word of the year for 2017. I'll share that when New Year's Day arrive. You are never too old to have dreams. Always remember that. Winter is the perfect time to dream, plan and manifest for yourself.

One of my new favorite Mother/ Goddess Figure is Frau Holle. She also goes by the name Hulda, Holla, Holda . Her story comes from Germany. The Brothers Grimm has Frau Holle in one of their stories. She is a Winter Goddess. Frau Holle shakes out her goose feather pillows, then, the goose feathers become snow falling down to us. She is said to favor hard-working people with a soft spot for children and mothers. One particular tale I read is that Frau Holle likes to gives gifts to Mothers on the Winter Solstice. That gave my mom heart a particular delight. To me, Frau Holle shows even in a season ,we at times may think of, as cold and barren. Beauty and kindness are still there waiting for us to open our hands to receive.

Tonight, light a candle. You can choose a candle in any color that makes you think of Winter. As you light a candle, think of all those Winter Dreams you like to happen. See and feel how it will be for the dream or dreams to come true!

Happy Winter, my friends.

Winter Solstice

Happy Winter Solstice and First Day of Winter. Though Winter is here, the sun is returning back to us. The wheel spins again as the day gets longer. This is my season being a Winter baby.

Tuesday is a day of action, make your Winter Dreams list. Write down all the great events, people, places, etc that you like to manifest during the season. Your list can be as simple or extravagant as you wish to be. The only requirement is your list be true to you.

I have been recently doing things that are pushing my boundaries in a good way. Put in a few of those scary sweet dreams. The ones your heart pounds secretly for. You can do it, my friends.

Light candles in colors of the sun. Wear colors in yellow, orange, red. You can even use white for the color of snow. Toast the return of light with orange juice or lemonade. Liquor can be added if you wish.

The light is returning back, my friends. Celebrate and Enjoy. Remember, you don't have to wait for January 1st to make changes. Do it today. Do it now.

Happy Winter.

Winter arrives..

Tonight, Jake and I were getting off the bus. The snow was gently falling and he was entranced. I told him to look up at the lamp post. The yellow light illuminated the snow flakes. They looked like magical sparkles. The delight on his face made my day.

The magic lies in the every day moments. Today being The Winter Solstice heralding Winter's arrival and a new moon in Capricorn make it extra special today.

Spend time today savoring the turn of seasons. Know now the sun will spend each day with us a little longer. There is a quiet beauty of Winter that waits for each of us to embrace.

I am sending you all Happy Winter blessings.

Here comes The Sun

Last night, I woke up around 3am. I got to see the Lunar Eclipse.
The Moon hidden and glowing in a soft red. It was amazing. I stood
looking out my wide living room window transfixed.

Then I had my boyfriend wake me up before sunrise. My home
faces the west, so I couldn't see the sunrise directly. I did
see the Moon set and the light of the Sun reflected in apartment
windows across from me. The sky began to lighten to a soft blue.
I played Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles and Hey Baby (New Rising
Sun) by Jimi Hendrix to greet the Sun. Though the Winter Solstice,
is known as the darkest day of the Year. From this day forth,
the days will get longer. Now, that's something to celebrate.

Today is Yule aka The Winter Solstice, A Full Moon, a Lunar
Eclipse and how can I forget, The First Day of Winter. There is
a lot of bright and powerful energy in the air. For me, I feel
like just soaking this all in quietly. Being this is the last
Full Moon of 2010, I'm in the mood to just relax. It has been one
heck of a ride this year.

Wishing you all a wonderful day and night. As always, have
fun on the this Yule Full Moon.
