November and The Snow Moon

Happy November. Truthfully, I'm still riding the wave of magical Halloween goodness. Here is another Ricard Scarry scan for this new month.



Tonight is The Full Moon in Taurus. This Moon has many names but I like the Snow Moon the best.


It is a night to celebrate all those earthly delights under the sign of Taurus:
*delicious food
*our beautiful bodies
*the energy of the money
*our natural creative abilities

Tonight take a few moments to look up at the sky to Lady Luna. Don't be
surprised if she winks back at you.

Happy October everyone. Here is another scan from my beloved Richard Scarry book. The time of sweaters, rich hot cocoa, sunsets before six, a bit of magic, apples and rich colors blooming everywhere. What delights will October bring? I'm looking forward to delights expected and unexpected this month.

Welcome September

I'm happy September is here.I feel the winds of Autumn already inspiring me. My heart is healing day by day. I spent part of my afternoon writing my to do list/goals for each areas of my life: my acting, my tutoring, my personal life and my home. Now, I have a clearer focus for the rest of 2009. I have yet to do my 100 list of things I want to do in my life. That's next. Maybe work on that tomorrow.

Here is another scan from my beloved Richard Scarry Book. Seriously, it's falling apart. I do love it. It still has my scribblings, spots, and drawings from me as a little girl.


I'm wishing all of you a creative and inspiring September. Today spend time making a list for your dreams. All dreams are worthy: big or small.

It is a sunshiny day in New York. I'm feeling in a happy mood today. I wanted to share more scans from my one of my favorite childhood books from Richard Scarry. I love the vibrant colors and painting style of these pictures.

Happy February

A whole new brand month for goodness and creativity to abound. I was going to blog yesterday. I got caught up in uploading some pictures to flickr. Then using my paint.net program and getting the hang of that. I did a whole ton of scanning as well.

I want to share these beautiful pictures I scanned from my Richard Scarry book. The first one is for this month.


Here is Nicholas The Bunny enjoying Wintertime.


These three scans are from The Country Mouse and The City Mouse story. This is one of my favorite stories. I love the outfits of all the mice especially the The City Mouse dressed up like a flapper girl from the 20's. In this scene, The Country Mice are watching the City Mouse dance.


Here's The Country Mouse running away from all the crazy adventures in the city. She had enough. The Country Mouse is lovely with her red dress and her strawberry apron.


I love this picture the best. Now, she is back with her fellow country ladies having tea. They all look lovely. The Country Mouse's little cottage is so cozy.
