More Mori Girl

Hello, my dreamy friends. There are a lot of great changes happening with me and my boys. I share with all of you on Friday.

Today, I like to leave a bit of beauty for you. Celebrating one of my favorites styles called Mori Girl. I have done posts on this style over the years. Mori girl loosely translates to Forest Girl. It's all about layering romantic clothes in usually muted colors. Mori girl style embraces bright and dark colors depending on your taste.

It is a beautiful misty Autumn day and you hear the Forest calling you. Today you need to walk among the trees and leaves in glorious colors of orange, red, and yellow.

You can put on that lace tea stained shawl you recently found in a thrift store to wear.

Should you wear the brown boots decorated in lace?

Or the green forest boots?

As you walk from your city door to the forest, you encounter other Mori girls. This one has colors in shades of pale blue ocean waves.

There's another Mori girl with pumpkin colored dress you almost brought yourself.

Right before you reach the forest, a Mori girl, who favors darker colors to wear, passes you with a friendly wave.

Now, you have finally arrived. Ready to enjoy your day in nature under an Autumn sky.

Hope you enjoyed our Mori girl adventure today. I'll see you right back here on Friday.

Happy Autumn

Hello, my friends.

It's time to dance again as the seasons change. Today is a energy packed day. Not only does Autumn begins, it is also a new moon in Libra.

I like feel that as the wheel turns, doors fly open. Doors for opportunity, new beginnings, farewells. Last night, I was feeling depressed. The weight of unrealized dreams weighing heavily on me. I cried, as I stared out at the sky of the last Summer night of 2014. Knowing that a good cry is cleansing for the soul.

Then I came on pinterest and saw this:

And I thought yes, I need to remember this. When I turned on the light, I saw this picture which I have framed in my bedroom.

I remember the promise I made to my old friend here. I said, okay, Chris. I'll keep going. You have to help a sistah out. I swear I thought his picture smile.

It's a new season. Today, reaffirm your faith in yourself and in your dreams. It is true you are never too old or too young to have dreams. When you feel down like I did last night, there are signs everywhere encouraging you to keep going.

Here are two sweet things you can do today:

The first is find a fallen leaf today. Or draw one, if you can't find an actual one. Then write on it your dream. Put all your love of the your dream in that leaf. You can now let it go by letting the wind carry it or throw it on a body of water. If that doesn't suit you, Keep the leaf on your altar or special places where you put things that you love close to you. Know day by day, as the season goes, the energy of your dream is getting stronger.

The second is the corncopia or the horn of plenty. Whenever you are feeling down in general, find a picture of a corncopia to look at. You can use this one or even draw one. Use all your senses, what would your horn of plenty look, smell, feel, hear or taste like. Imagine your favorite person in the whole world gifting you this to make it even better. Spend at least five minutes on this.

If you have any special tips you do celebrate the season or keep focused on your dreams, please share in the comments below. I'm wishing you all a wonderful Autumn season. May it be happy, blessed and prosperous for you and yours.

Happy Thursday

Happy If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know it's my favorite day.

Thursday named after the Norse god of Thunder, Abundance, Fertility aka as Thor. Thursday is also aligned with the old Roman God Jupiter. Guess what Jupiter was best known for: Prosperity and Good Fortune.

Even if you don't believe in Thor or Jupiter, the fact that Thursday is aligned with them gives the day for me an extra juice of good fortune and fun. So don't wait for Friday to have your fun!! Do it on Thursday.

Since it's Thursday, I want to share with you that Vanessa over at A Fanciful Twist announced her annual Halloween Party. Click on the picture below and all the information about it will take you to her beautiful blog. I'm joining in. Hope to see you too.

If you have never done a blog party, let your imagination go and have fun. Halloween can be fun, scary, romantic, gothic..whatever you wish it to be. This is the party I did two Octobers ago. With all the busy schedules with Jacob, I wasn't able to participate last year.

Here is a simple visualization I like to do to feel inspired and full of good fortune. I was inspired by Summer McStracvick's Flowdreaming philosophy.

I close my eyes. I am walking under a bright blue sky with fluffy clouds. Suddenly, the energy of good fortune and prosperity comes flowing out of the sky. The color can change depending on what color connects with how I want to feel. The good energy flows around and through me. You can do this sitting down or standing. Whatever works for you. At least do it for 3-5 minutes. Choose whatever colors make you feel happy, prosperous and lucky.

Wishing you all a wonderful Thursday.

Romantic Vignette #9 : Virgie

Why couldn't I be named Belle or a Catherine instead of Virgie she thought. Plain old Virgie with the books. Virgie had a plan. When she turn 17 in six months and graduate from high school, she wouldn't go up to Chicago like her mother wanted her to. She wasn't going to waste away in a factory. No, she run away to New York or even better, Paris. She call herself Catherine, write and truly be free.

I remember all those who families were affected on this day and continue to be...
May all those who lost mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children, cousins, aunts, uncles, fiances, and friends know you are not alone...

Harvest Moon

Happy Full Moon, my friends.

Even before I started following the lunar path in my 20's, I heard about the Harvest Moon. It's special I feel since the Harvest Moon always comes close to the Autumn Equinox. It lies between the end of Summer and the arrival of Autumn. You can feel the mix of the energies in the air. I like to imagine Summer and Autumn , like old friends, having a few days to spend together before they must part again till next year.

In my household, the easy going Summer energy has transformed to the creative energy of Autumn. My husband, Sean, is back in school and hopefully, Jacob, will be starting preschool soon. A school we were on a waiting list may have a space for him. Yay.

The yellows are mellowing out to Brown. The green going fiery to orange. Change is swirling in the air. Can you feel it? Are you open to the changes within you? I always like to make changes before a change is forced upon me. It makes my life easier.

The Harvest Moon rises with the dreamy and mystical Pisces energy. For all my sun and moon Pisces babies, this is your moon. Ponder your heart my friends. What or Whom do you truly love? What makes your heart pitter patter? Do you spend time daily on things that give you joy? Joy is a beautiful feeling. When you are joyful, the whole world appears brighter and happier. Your life flows easier. You have three days of the Harvest Moon energy. The day before, the night of and the day after the Full Moon to play and surf in this energy. Make some fun changes in your life. Schedule joy daily for yourself. You deserve it. Everyone has the right to feel happy and joyful.

What to do on this Full Moon?

* Take a nice long bath.
* Write handwritten letters to your loved ones.
* Wear or burn candles in colors of the Ocean or of Autumn.
* Do something fun and daring.
* Send out your resume for a "I never get that" job and see what happens.
* Donate money to organizations or spiritual places that feed your soul.
* Go to a lake, river, or ocean to soak in that watery energy
* Buy a 2015 calendar and make plans to do make time for the upcoming Full Moons.
* Pick three days in the week to sit with yourself and do nothing.
* Advertise on craigslist or local sites as a teacher in your most favorite hobby/skill.

If you have any Full Moon tips you like to share, please do in the comments. I love to hear them. As always, do what is fun, authentic and right for you under this Full Moon. I'm wishing you all dreamy Full Moon nights.

To Serenade you on this lovely Full Moon, here is Cassandra Wilson's rendition Neil Young's Harvest Moon.

Happy September

The morns are meeker than they were -
The nuts are getting brown -
The berry's cheek is plumper -
The Rose is out of town.

The Maple wears a gayer scarf -
The field a scarlet gown -
Lest I should be old fashioned
I'll put a trinket on.
