With my daily trips to the NICU unit and expressing
milk on a schedule all for Jacob has consumed most of my time.
You can read all the books, hear stories from your friends
or your own mom. Nothing prepares you for motherhood like
actually experiencing yourself.
Though I'm tired and wish Jacob home with us every day.
I'm happy to be a mom and that he is here.
Today is 11/11/11. A day to make wishes and celebrate
all the good you like to come your way. Being on
Veterans' Day, I hope some of that 11 magic goes
to our Vets who deserve it.
Speaking about wishes, Here is one of my deepest wishes
come true: Jacob. He is now 3 pounds and 6 oz.
Most of his wires are gone except his feeding tube.
My little Pumpkin prince is doing so well.

Hi Shell, so glad to hear that Jacob is doing well. yours days must be full running back and forth. I am hoping and wishing all the luck in the world to you and your family. those numbers must be lucky and hoping luck to the veterans. I heard some statistics today about homeless veterans...it was shocking...wishing you all the best, until next time.

Oh my good ness, Shell ...Jacob is so gorgeous! He looks very alert in the second photo! Wow, he is doing remarkable and looks very well. What a tremendous job all of you are doing with him, Shell! keep on giving him your Mother Love and milk and he will continue to grow and thrive. I see you in him already.
