New Moon in Leo

Happy New Moon, my friends. New Moons are a great time
to make new plans for the upcoming month and wishes.
Who doesn't love making wishes?

This New Moon is in the sign of Leo.
Be like a Lion: regal, strong and powerful.
Unleash your inner Queen or King in your own life.
Leo energy is success, fame and
shining bright.

It's your time to step in the spotlight!
If you shun the spotlight for some reason,
take your rightful place. Allow yourself
to bask in recognition and success. It
is yours and you deserve it.

For all my Leo Sun and Moon sign
babies, this is your time to extra shine
in beautiful sunshiny energy.

Enjoy this Leo New Moon and your
weekend.

History is Made at Night

Happy Friday, everyone.
I have been trying to post since yesterday.
Blogger has been acting up. Ugh.

The Heatwave that has been consuming most
of the country is finally here. Today it's
going to reach 105 degree.Since Wednesday,
I've stayed in during the daytime. Being
pregnant, the heat gets to me in a way that
it never has.

What to do when the daystar gets too hot?
I have been watching a lot more movies.
I found a real gem about a week ago called
History is Made at Night (1937).

It stars one of my faves, Charles Boyer and
Jean Arthur. Charles Boyer is Paul Dummond.
One night, he saves Irene (Jean Arthur) from
a compromising position orchestrated by
her insanely possessive husband (played with fervor
by Colin Clive of Frankenstein fame.) Paul
and Irene share a magical night together.
What happens next, well I can't tell you.
I want you to see it for yourself.
I can share History is Made at Night is
a great blend of romance, comedy and
drama.

Usually, I would have a trailer for you.
I have something better! I have the link
to watch History is Made at Night on Hulu.
As you keep cool over the weekend,
go on over and watch the movie. Then let
me know what you think.

Wishing you all a safe and cool weekend.

Capricorn Full Moon

A big thank you for all your love and well wishes
about my pregnancy. It made my heart glow reading
all your comments and advice. Every day is a marvel watching
my tummy getting bigger. I talk to baby daily. I
can feel the first stirrings of baby inside of me.
This is one of the most thrilling times of my life.

It is way past midnight. I'm sitting in my living room
with only the computer light and two beautiful candles
burning. Doing my best to wait for Lady Moon to come
gliding near my window. I am a bit sleepy. She often comes
around in the wee early hours of the morning.

Tonight is the Full Moon in Capricorn. For all my
Capricorn Babies out there who have the sun and moon
in Capricorn, this is your moon. For the rest of us,
we can still enjoy this lovely Middle of Summer Moon.

Capricorn is an Earth sign. Anything that has to do
with Earth can be celebrated on this Full Moon.
You can celebrate flowers, herbs, garden, your body,
money/prosperity, business and food.

Here are some things you can do
to celebrate this Earthy Full Moon:

Have a lavish feast to celebrate the prosperity
of food you have in your life.

Use extra money you have to bless your
favorite charities or pet projects. (When we
spend our money, we show that we believe in
our good fortune and more will come to us.)

Dress in lovely shades of green, gold and brown
that make you smile.

Visit your favorite garden or green place.

Instead of doing a rigid workout regiment,
explore other ways to flow with your body.
Investigate belly dancing, tai chi, african
dance, tango, burlesque dancing. So many ways
you can move your body and have fun too.

These are my suggestions. Remember
whatever you do on your Full Moon, make
it nourishing and happy for yourself.

I'm wishing you all a wonderful Full Moon
in Capricorn. Remember the energy of the Full Moon
sticks around for another day. You can still
enjoy all that radiance on Saturday.

Dreams Come True!

Three Posts ago, I explained a cherished
Dream of mine has come true. This Dream has not
only has filled me with happiness, also
everyone else in my life.

I'm proud to announce, that I'm Pregnant
with my first child!!!!I'm officially sixteen weeks.
My baby is due on Christmas Eve.
My boyfriend, Sean, and I are super excited
to say the least about our first baby.
Our respective families
and friends are truly happy for us.

I've been wanting to share this with all
of you. I had to get through my
first trimester successfully.

What makes this so much sweeter is because of
my age. Some of you may know, others not.
I'm 42. To be blessed with a baby now is
truly wonderful, miraculous,divine and lovely.

If there are any women over 40 who want to be
a mom reading this, Please know it is possible.
My baby was conceived the old fashioned way.(wink)

My boyfriend and I are getting married before
Baby comes. We just have to set the date.
I'll know in August whether I'm having a
girl or boy. When I do, I will share that
with all of you.

Whether its creating a baby, a novel,
paintings, music, etc all dreams
are able to come true!! Believe and do. You will
see, like I have. Dreams come true, my friends!
Have a wonderful Monday.

My Wednesday night with Cary

As soon as sunset falls, I love to
watch an old movie at least three times
a week if I can.

I spent a wonderful Wednesday evening
with Cary Grant. I saw again, after
too many years absence, Arsenic and Old Lace (1944).

I don't know the last time that I laughed
this hard. It is madcap zaniness. Cary Grant
is pure magic in it. To be fair this is
a wonderful ensemble piece including Jospehine Hull
and Jean Adair reprising their Broadway roles
as sweetly deadly Aunt Abby and Aunt Martha.

Here is the story:
Mortimer Brewster, drama critic/ writer (Cary Grant)
has married Elaine (Priscilla Lane) despite writting
books against marriage. Elaine and him go home to
Brooklyn, to tell their families the good news.

While sharing his marriage news with Aunt Abby and Martha,
he finds a body in the window seat! When he tells his
Aunts about the body, they sweetly respond they know
all about it. They gave the gentleman some of their
special wine to help this poor lonely old man
out of his misery!

Oh and it gets better. Of course, I can't tell
you the rest. It is funny from start to finish.
This is a perfect movie to watch with your family on
a Summer Evening.

As always, I have the trailer for you. Enjoy.

Dream Thought # 37 :Independence

"Living your life as a dreamer and not as an "expector" is
a personal declaration of independence. You're able to pursue
happiness more directly when you don't get caught up in the
delivery details.
Dreaming, not expecting, allows Spirit to
step in and surprise you with connection, completion, consummation,
celebration. You dream. Show up for work. Then let Spirit
deliver your dream to the world."
