Memorial Day

Today, I remember all those who served our
country past and present. Especially those
who died in service to America.

I especially honor my father who fought in WWII.
He passed away in 2002.

Happy Full Moon in Sagittarius, my friends.
All my Sagittarius Sun and Moon sign babies,this
is your Moon.It is also a lunar eclipse. This is I believe
the third eclipse in a row. Eclipses stir up
energies big time. Makes life into a Michael
Bay movie. (He directed the movies Armageddon, Transformers
Series.)

The nickname of the Sagittarius is the Archer.
The Centaur about to let his arrow go into
the Universe.

Now, what arrow would you fly into the Heavens.
What are you aiming for? To let go of something
or embrace something?

I letting my arrow soar into the starry sky
tonight. To burn up stressful situations,
comments and energies I have allowed in my energy.
Notice I said Allow. Most of the time we allow
things to bother us. We always have a choice.
What is the saying life is 10% of what happens
to us, and 90% of how we respond to it

Let your aim soar high and true tonight, my friends. Have
a fiery and safe Full Moon.

Look and Breathe

I had a roller coaster of a week. I had
to really dig deep mentally to keep myself
together. Sigh.

One of the highlights of the week was watching
Mark Hamill on the season finale of Criminal Minds
on Wednesday. I was so excited! You have no idea how long
I kept saying he should do Criminal Minds
or Law and Order. One of my wishes came true.



When I get really stressed, I like to imagine I'm here.
In Tahiti. With blue crystal clear water, white sands
and the sun caressing my skin. One day, I'll get there.

The Great Gatsby and Books

I haven't been to the movies in months. Yesterday,
I saw The Great Gatsby in 3D.



I feel The Great Gatsby is the kind of film you either hate or love.
I loved it. Baz Luhrmann, the director, excels on dizzying
spectacles on film. (He's directed Strictly Ballroom, Romeo
+ Juliet, Moulin Rouge.) The movie is a great party on film.
It is bittersweet when the party ends like in life sometimes.
I say check it out. Leo as Gatsby made me believe anything is possible.
(I have never read the book, I do want to give a read now.)


Also, here a few good books I have read recently.
If you like books
with a magical or supernatural flavor like I do, then these
are right up your alley.

The Witch series by Juliet Blackwell. Starts with
Second Hand Spirits.

Pies and Prejudice: A Charmed Pie Shoppe mystery
by Ellery Adams.

Brownies and Broomsticks by Bailey Cates.

The Diviners by Libba Bray.(Set in the 20's.)

Voodoo Dreams by Jewell Rhodes Parker. (The first
of a Trilogy.)


Now, the baby is napping. I'm going to take
advantage of this quiet time and watch the season
finale of Scandal. Anybody watching Scandal?
It is so good!!
