Swan of Dreamers is 7 today

Roses and ...

a hug from me to all of you.

Swan of Dreamers is 7 today. Wow! I appreciate all of you who come here to read my blog. Those who give your lovely comments and to my sweet lurkers too. I feel all your loving energy. It is all because of you that has helped me to continue blogging all these years. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I have been lately sharing more music. I hope you all have been enjoying it. I subscribed to the lovely newsletter of Susan Branch and she had had a link to a song by a singer named Maxine Sullivan. I had never heard of her, to be honest. Once I heard her lovely voice, that was all she wrote. I think you'll enjoy her lovely voice too. Here is Maxine Sullivan singing If I Had a Ribbon Bow. Enjoy. I'll see you all right back here on Monday. Have an amazing weekend.

Dream Thought 72 #: Freedom

“If you hear the dogs, keep going. If you see the torches in the woods, keep going. If there's shouting after you, keep going. Don't ever stop. Keep going. If you want a taste of freedom, keep going.”

New Moon

Happy Thursday, my friends. Yesterday was the second new moon in Aquarius. Then soon, it changed into Pisces. All my Pisces friends, your birthdays are coming up. Early Happy Birthday to all of you. It is also the Chinese Lunar New Year. Happy, Happy to those celebrating the year of the Goat.

From one of my favorite mystical books called Sun Magic by Dorothy Morrison. Here are her suggestions to celebrate the New Moon.

* Dress in shades of blue and green to welcome the sun.
* Burn blue and green candles.
* Have a magical movie fest with Lord of The Rings, Excalibur, The Mists of Avalon, Harry Potter.

I would add
* listen to Ocean nature sounds with or without music.
* Tap into your inner Mermaid or Merman. Spend time daily following your feelings and letting them flow.
* Watch movies which has water themes. Here are some of my favorites: The Pirate, The Pirate Movie, Mamma Mia. There are more, my mind is going blank, you get the idea.

Enjoy this New Moon energy. Look up at the sky on Saturday, the first sliver of the moon should be out.

Another Dawn

Happy Monday and President's Day for those of us in the US. Valentine's Day night, I went to Instant Warner Archive to see what new movies they had up. Lo and behold, I found this gem of a movie. Another Dawn (1937) starring the very dashing Errol Flynn and the lovely Kay Francis. Now, you can say it's dated in some ways. I enjoyed the old fashioned quality of the movie.

The story is simple. Errol Flynn plays Captain Denny Roark. His best friend and commanding officer, Col John Wister, played by Ian Hunter, comes home with unexpected new bride named Julia Ashton. Julia, played by Kay Francis enters the marriage as more of a friendship after grieving the loss of her previous love many months before. Col John in love accepts this. After meeting Denny, feelings grow between Julia and him. You can imagine what happens next. The film is short under 90 minutes. Kay Francis' clothes in this are beautiful. For those who love their romances with a bit of extra drama, you will enjoy this.

Of course, here is the trailer for you. Cheers.

Happy Friday the 13th

Happy Friday the 13th, my friends. For me, I always look at this day as a lucky day. I feel like it has an extra sparkle that is only there for people who can feel it.
A little bit of energy floating in the air.

What to do on this day? Well, one of my favorite ways is to write down 13 wishes I like to come true. It can be anything only requirement is that it must make your heart sing! Here are more fun things to do today

You can splurge today and buy yourself thirteen new things.
Burn thirteen beautiful candles and burn one on every Friday.
Buy thirteen cupcakes, donuts or sweet items to share with your loved ones for the Valentine's Day weekend.
Deciding to save money for thirteen weeks at whatever amount you wish. When the 13 weeks are up,then take out half of it to buy something special or donate to your favorite charity.

Use your imagination and intuition to have fun today. Special reminder there are two more Friday the 13th's coming up: March 13th and Novemeber 13th this year.

Of course, I am...

Romantic Vignette #11: Inez

Inez had lived all her life saying yes to every request and demand. That is how she was raised. Inez had turned an age where most women were married by now. She had a clear vision of what the years would be if she continued to live this way. Inez went to take the pictures her grandmother and mother had demanded to today. Tomorrow, everything is going to change! She still had the money gifted to her by Auntie Gladys before she passed. She had her teaching certificate unused yet still good. Tomorrow, Inez is going to say yes to herself. How glorious tomorrow is to be Inez dreamily and strongly thought to herself.

Rock Star Moon

Happy Full Moon, my friends. It's that time once again when the cosmic energies glow brightest. For all my sun and moon sign Leos, this is your special Moon. Yes, so bask in La Luna's light. The Moon also shines down for the rest of us, as well.

Leo radiates with power, leadership and success. It also had a special quality that I love the best, Leo energy governs entertainment as well. All my fellow performers in whatever medium is your stage this a special moon for us to. Do you sing, act, paint, write, dance, craft? How about tonight writing down a wild big dream you like to accomplish with your career. It can be as a big or unrealistic as people tell you. See how I said how unrealistic as people tell you. Sometimes the dreams people tell you that can't manifest is the ones you do!!

Tonight, write down the big wild dream. If you can write it down in gold or yellow font or pen that is great. Sprinkle cinammon or nutmeg on it for luck. Then post that big wild dream somewhere you can see it to encourage you in the months ahead. Now, if big and wild is too much. How about this, let the Leo moonlight shine down on something you use for your creativity. For me it can be my Headshot, my acting union card or a monologue I use for auditions. If you write, a pen. If you paint, your paintbrush. If you sing, a favorite song written out you love to sing. If you dance, your dance shoe. You get the idea. Let all the Leo Rock star energy pour down on your object. Whenever you use your object it will still vibrate with that delicious energy. Reminding you of how creative you are;also, you have been called to be creative for a reason.

Need more ideas how to celebrate this Full Moon energy go here.

Wishing you all a wonderful Full Moon.

Awakening

Happy February, my friends. We are half way through Winter and spring will be here in six weeks. With all the ice, snow, wind here ,it's hard to think of Spring. One day it will come, my friends. I will walk outside and be able to have my coat open, no gloves, no hat and breathe in the sweet spring air.

Depending on your faith, today and tomorrow, is Imbolc, Candlemas, or Groundhog day. Somehow to me they all celebrate the stirrings of spring that is starting now. Before you know it, you'll see tiny shoots of green sprouting. All the snow and ice gave the earth a good drinking, soon she will reveal all manner of delights in flowers, trees and new babies coming to life.

Right here in The Bronx, the weather says another round of snow. Today, I celebrate having made half way through Winter, my birthday and the sure knowledge Spring will be here soon.

Today and tomorrow, make merry my friends. Light beautiful candles, bake delicious food, read beautiful poetry out loud, adorn yourself with flowers and daydream about Spring.

Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday.
