A Precious Ruby

I've been sitting here trying to write what I feel about Ruby Dee. I can't put it into sentences like I want to. I'll say this: regal, passionate, creative, dynamic. Ruby Dee didn't just act, she breathed life into a role.



Truly a Queen of her craft. I can feel her right now next to me smiling. saying to me "I'm all that?" Yes you are, Ruby Dee.



Thank you for all those years of acting, writing and activism. Now, you are reunited with your beloved Ossie.
