Do it Anyway

One of my best friends needed my help.
I was taught by my mom that Do unto others as you want
others to do unto you.

I got the worst tongue lashing from her about
helping my bestie. I was called foolish, among other things.
Her words hurt me deeply.

Sometimes, you have to do what you feel is right.
That may mean going against friends and family.
In the end, what truly matters is what you think
of yourself. What you can live with.

I searched for this poem attributed to Mother Teresa.
It fit exactly how I feel. Hopefully, if someone else
is going through something similar, these words
can comfort you too.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway. In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

P.S. Happy Capricorn Full Moon.
Here's what I wrote last year.

Wow Shell! I love that reading! It's funny because I'm on Facebook so often now that I wanted to "like" Kalei's Best Friend's comment. LOL!

That's right Shell, you keep on being the Divine Expression of Good! You are magnificent! You are beautiful! You are love, that allows it to pour through you from a natural spout, that's always running. It is the energy of Greatness and Compassion! You are not a victim, at all...

Michelle, of all your blog posts, thus far, this one is one of my personal favorites. And I have a feeling that the poem needs to be a daily reading requirement for all serious Lightworkers.
