Happy November

I am happy November is here. What about all of you?
I love the colors of the trees that glow with
orange, gold and red. How are you going to spend the
last two months of 2010? I plan on or should I say I
already have started to implement: slowing down, staying
in the now and stop saving things for a special day.
Every day is a special day.

Here's a lovely poem by Emily Dickinson to
celebrate the beginning of November.

The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry’s cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.

The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I ’ll put a trinket on.

Oh Shell, I wish I felt that way about November. I will try, I promise. Most of the leaves have fallen here and it is cold enough to snow. I am barricaded inside but I will make the most of it. I love that poem, that is not one I know by her. Thank you so much for sharing and Happy November to you my friend.

I kind of start feeling the holiday blues when Nov. comes around because all the holidays put me into a strange place of mind, but this November will be different, I'm determined. And Emily D. is one of my favorite poets so a lovely way to start off Nov. Shell, thank you :)

Hi Sweetness. I love the poem...so pretty and so fitting for this time of year. It is very pretty here-sunny and crisp mornings.
Just helped Olivia with finshing nursing school apps and maybe just maybe we will be out your way someday soon:)
Love to you my Friend,

Hi Shell,
I am slowing down and I'm going to enjoy this month. I usually feel so rushed and have Christmas on the brain. Not this year, my pumpkins will remain out until December 1st.
How strange...I was just getting ready to email you when I saw you left a comment on my blog...

Hi, Shell! It amazes me how this year has flown, and two months left now. It's been a tough year in many ways. And at the moment my health has not been too good--but there is Light in sight. Mind over matter too. ;o) I love November too. Thanksgiving is my fave holiday, and fave moment in November. And soon will we be taking a trip Stateside to celebrate the holiday with my family there. Been a looong time since having a real American Thanksgiving, so very excited! ;o) Happy November ((HUGS))

Happy November to you too! I like November too for the colours, the crisp air and the change in how everything feels. I love windy weather and we have a lot of that at the moment!
