Farewell to November

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I did, too.
I even got to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1
on Saturday. It was really good.

Then my weekend kind of went downhill after that. You know
what when things get bumpy, you just have to ride it out.
Which is what I'm doing now.

On the whole, November has been a month of deep revelations
and healing.

I asked Judy and Gene to sing out November for all of us.
This is from one of my faves: Summer Stock (1950.) To me,
Judy and Gene are luminous on screen together

Wishes for Thanksgiving

This is my card of the day: 9 of Cups from one of my favorite decks
The Merry Day Tarot. I feel it's perfect for Thanksgiving here in
the USA.

Tonight wherever you are, when you see a star make a wish for yourself.
Make it something you truly desire. Wishes do come true!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of us in the states; for all my other
friends from other countries: Happy Thursday.

Thanksgiving Moon

For us in America, Thanksgiving is Thursday. I decided to call this
moon the Thanksgiving Moon among it many names.

This Moon flows in Taurus and Gemini Energy. So all my Taurus and Gemini
babies out there, your energy is glowing.

For the rest of us, we can still let the Full Moon give us
extra juice.

Tonight, wherever you are. Spend ten minutes gazing at The Moon.
Then have a party for one. Blast music, dance, eat and be joyful.

To quote my good friend, Yoda from Star Wars:
"Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter."

Tonight, feed your luminous soul. If you are happy, dance
to celebrate this and draw more happiness to you. If
your sad or struggling with life, dance those feelings
out of your to attract the happiness and joy you are seeking.

I send you all much love and joy under this beautiful
Full Moon.

Dream Thought #32 :Mistakes

"[Montgomery Clift talking about his arrival in Hollywood]
I told them I wanted to choose my scripts and my directors myself.
"But sweetheart," they said, "you`re going to make a lot of mistakes."
And I told them, "You don`t understand; I want to be free to do so."

Be like Monty, revel in making your mistakes. I have made a doozy
of mistakes this year. What I have learned from them all has been
invaluable.

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday.

One Way Passage

Happy Monday. I'm now on my third day of no cable television.
I'm getting use to it. I have more time to spend on creative
projects which is wonderful. My Aquarian brain is bubbling
with ideas.

I found this trailer two weeks ago and meant to post. It's
the trailer for one of my favorites: One Way Passage
(1931). I also adore the remake as well, Till We Meet
Again
(1940).

The story is simple a dying woman and escaped convict
sentenced to death meet on a cruise. Oh, so simple and
beautiful as well.

Why I love the original more is because of William Powell.
He was my uncle's favorite and has become one of mine
and Anakin's as well.

To me no one can do smooth, debonair and witty as good
as William Powell in the 30's and 40's.
I have to do a post dedicated to him
soon.

I know One Way Passage is on DVD, which is on my list
to get. If you can rent it or catch it on TCM, it is
worth it.

Downsizing and Gerry

I almost cried reading everyone's comments about my dad.
Thank you so much and I know my dad thanks you too.

Last night, Anakin and I made the choice to let
go of cable! He turned in the cable boxes today. I know
I probably sound like a brat. I don't watch a huge amount
of t.v., I do have my favorite shows and channels that I
adore.

Thankfully, a lot of tv is online. Still, what hurts is
no more Turner Classic Movies. I love watching my old
movies! I have found some places online where I can watch
some classic films for free. In the long run, it will save
us money. We are shooting for April to get the cable back.

Sometimes, you have to sacrifice now for the treasure later.

I still have my internet! Yipee.

Also, today is one of my favorite actors birthday! Happy
Birthday, Gerard Butler. I like to call him Gerry.
I love gerry

I can go and on about him. That would make this post way
too long. When I saw him for the first time in 300 back
in 2006, I was hooked. I still am. What drives me mad,
he lives part time in New York. And whenever I see him
in pictures, it's always at places close by to where
I am sometimes in Manhattan. I never see him! I do see
other stars, never my Gerry. Sigh. Hopefully, one day I
will and even better, get to work opposite him in a film.

I did see two weeks ago to my niece's delight: Jake Gyllenhaal.
He looks just the same in person. He is adorable.

If anyone knows of any sites where you can watch classic
movies online for free, please let me know. I found three places,
so far. I know there has to be more out there.

Have a Happy Weekend.

Remembering

My dad looking handsome in his Army uniform ready to fight in WWII.
Thinking of him on this Veteran's Day. He passed eight years ago.
Every time I look at my face, I see him.

Sending love to all the vets of the past and present.

New Moon in Scorpio

It's a New Moon in the sign of Scorpio.
If you are a Scorpio you got an extra bit of juice
working for you. Use it wisely.

New Moons to me is always like a fresh start. To begin
again to plan and dream on what you like to
attract and manifest in the two weeks until
the Full Moon.

Scorpio is full of mystery and deep feelings. If
you are feeling extra moody or weepy. I say indulge.
Let yourself feel. I've relearned recently the high
cost of not giving yourself freedom to express
all that's inside of you.

So feel now, so you can feel free later.

Happy New Moon everyone.

P.S. Thank you all for the nice comments on my new
blog header.

Happy November

I am happy November is here. What about all of you?
I love the colors of the trees that glow with
orange, gold and red. How are you going to spend the
last two months of 2010? I plan on or should I say I
already have started to implement: slowing down, staying
in the now and stop saving things for a special day.
Every day is a special day.

Here's a lovely poem by Emily Dickinson to
celebrate the beginning of November.

The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry’s cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.

The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I ’ll put a trinket on.
