I saw her many years ago on Broadway ... she was electric.

Hey Shell, looks like u and I remembered her... I posted her 'Stormy Weather' one... I remember when I was a kid hearing her sing it on tv... She was such a classy lady..

*tear* When I was a little girl, Lena performed in St. Louis and my mother asked her for an autograph. Lena went one step above and beyond by adding her charismatic touch and personalizing it to me -- stating to always go for my dreams!

Lena has touched my heart and doesn't even know it.. She will be missed. And forever adored =)

When I hear her sing it's like finding "confidence" once gain. There's something about her voice that strikes me as reassuring. Don't know why. Her music will accompany us forever.
