Once in a Blue Moon on a New Year's Eve

Fluffy snowflakes are flying by my
window. The Bronx is transformed into
a world of white today.

I wish I could do a year in review.
I have grown in ways I never thought
possible.

The truth is the year's end is sad for me.
Everything I have done and all that changed
me is directly due to my Sean. His
death woke me up in deep ways.

2009 closes and leaves forever with my friend.

So it has been a bittersweet year for me.
2010 beckons me now. All I can do is take
the lessons learned and Sean's love into
this new year and new decade.

Now for the sweet. This is the second
Full Moon in December. A Blue Moon
on New Year's Eve. The moon is
in the sign of Cancer. This is
a night where the impossible can
be possible.

Tonight celebrate. Make merry. Keep
your lists, wishes, intentions, and
dreams for 2010 in you heart and actions
all year round.

I wish for all of you a happy, healthy,
prosperous and creative 2010.

Happy Blue Moon,

Your post was very touching. I am so sorry for your loss, and I am impressed by how well you're doing. I don't think I would be.

Hugs,
Celeste

Happy New Years Darling. One time someone who also lost a love called me her sister in sorrow. I see that with you and me as well. I know I am so much farther along the loss trail and I can say for certain it does get brighter and better and the lessons continue to help us be our best selves. I will be your sister in sorrow and joy and whatever is in store for us in 2010.
Hugs Bronx Friend, Happy Snowfall form foggy SF girl.
