I had to wait two months, I finally got
my copy of Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
from my local library.I missed it when it
came out in the movies last year. It is a
delightful movie. Full of comedy, romance, fun.
Frances McDormand plays Guinevere Pettigrew,
a London governess who has a habit of being
too outspoken though she has a good heart.
She is tossed out of her latest job. A series
of events leads Miss Pettigrew to meet the
the glam Delysia LaFosse (Amy Adams); and,
gets swept up into Delysia's life finding
out that one day can change a life forever.
Oh, the clothes, the furniture and the music.
I love 40's music and fashions!!
If you need a pick me up or want to unplug
from the holiday merry go around. Watch
Miss Pettigrew lives for a Day. You will
be enchanted, trust me.
For all you Pushing Daisies fan, Lee Pace
is in it too! Truly, it's stock full of great
actors. Frances and Amy play their parts to
perfection.
Of course, here is a trailer to whet the
appetites. This is the kind of movie
I like to do. Uplifting and full of fun.

I loved this movie - we saw it in the theatre and then watched it again on HBO. Great style - and very clever.
By the way - congrats on the win over at Voodoo Lounge!
Hey Shell, I can't wait to see this movie! I sooooo agree with you about the time and the clothes and everything. WOW! It looks like it's going to be something fun and so special. I love these kinds of movies. I wish we could find a designer that could redo these kinds of clothes for now and for big gurls! I always said that I would some day create a wonderful line of clothing with star appeal for the regular girls with body and boobs. It will be called "Fluffy" he he he! I'm serious it's not even funny! I can't stand some of the clothing that out for larger woman. Thanks for sharing this. I wish you a very happy and Merry Holiday!! Hugs
I saw this movie recently and loved it!

Hi Shell. I remember this trailer just before the film came out. I love Frances McDormand, she is such a great actress. I loved her in Burn After Reading.

Curiously, but it is not clear
