What I have relearned this Summer

What I've relearned this Summer

1) To say out loud what I'm grateful for every day.

2) Just do stuff and tell people later. I get a lot more done this way.

3) Life is going to be challenging. I have to find ways to get my happy on even through tears.

4) Death never ends Love. Love endures.

5) Ask for what I need, be thankful when I get even if it shows up in another form.

6) Like attracts like. When things are truly crappy in my life, I have to look at my own thoughts and feelings to see what I'm contributing to this.

7) Watching a good movie every other day makes Shell a happy girl.

8) My friends are my family, too.

What have you relearned or maybe learned this summer?

Thanks again for all the great comments on being nine years old. What you loved then and now. Also, for the Dreamthought from Will Smith. If anyone has some great gems for a Dreamthought post, please send them to me. So I can share with others.

Have you worked or played on your Dreams today? I hope you did. Your Dreams need you to become alive.

Good lessons learned! I am just learning about doing stuff and telling people later. I find if I tell people what I am going to do, negativity sneaks in. It's a lot easier this way! Seeing a good movie is a must!

Great post! I love reflecting on lessons learned. Each morning I write in my gratitude journal and then I journal in my morning pages. On my walk tonight I'll think about my lessons this summer and I'll blog about it soon. Your list is full of great wisdom! Keep spreading the love.

Those are beautiful, Shell! With each one, I found myself saying "yes, yes, yes ..." #5 is another way of saying one of my own mantras: Receive what you are given. You're given it anyway, good or bad, whether you fight it or not, so figure out a way to accept and make it work for you.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful list!

I've learned again that when there is a dark night of the soul, awakening happens deep within! It is the kind of happiness that flood our entire Being and the word love is not an emotion but an understanding that is so powerfully beautiful that most of us believe that we don't deserve it so we sabotage it! I'm learning to accept all of the beauty and if it's so much love that I can't sit still, scream with joy and laughter to release some of that beautiful energy into the Universe for someone else to be touched!

Sorry I haven't been around. Grad school has taken over my blogging a bit but know that I miss all of you ladies in blogland and think of you often!

You've been busy this summer, Shell! ;o) And in a very good way. I'm with you on number one especially... That I "relearn" daily. To give gratitude daily is one of the sweetest gifts one can give to one's self. Happy weekend :o)

I have learned this summer not to push myself so hard, to enjoy some quiet moments every day, and to appreciate what I have.
I also identified with a lot of your relearned lessons, Shell.
