I'm in the mood for vintage Aretha. I loved when Aretha was young. She was so pretty to me. Here is The Queen of Soul from 1967. (The video volume is not a high as the next one, so crank the sound up.)
Aretha Franklin - Baby I Love You
I couldn't resist adding another one. This is Chain of Fools from 1968.
Have a fab Friday. Sweet Dreams to you all.

Oh she is one of he greatest of all times if not the greatest. I love the video's. Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend.
Hello Shell!
Aretha Franklin, who does not love the Queen of Soul! Even today her voice is absolutely incredible. I saw her in an interview recently and learned that she once aspired to be a ballet dancer. I have a feeling Miss Franklin could have been anything she wanted to.:o) Thank you so much for sharing. That is one of the many reasons I love coming to Swan of Dreamers you have some of the most wonderful post!:o)
Smiles...

Is there anybody in the world who can resist "Chain of Fools?!" In this video of her, her hair is almost as big as her hat at Obama's inauguration!
Every time somebody on "American Idol" sings "Chain of Fools" or "RESPECT," we always scream, "no, no, NO - leave it to the Queen!"
Nobody can sing it like Aretha. She definately is the queen of soul! Happy friday my friend.

My favorite is watching Aretha sing Respect in the Blues Brothers...such a great scene in that restaurant!
She was and is still one of the greatest performers of the 20th and the 21st centuries.
