Your lists

It is the third day of January. Have you made your lists of what your goals are for 2009? Now making lists are wonderful, heck even Santa uses a list. Writing a list then putting it somewhere to collect dust is a no-no. I'm making it my daily thing to look at my list every day. Why? Keep it in my mind this is where I want to head for. These goals are my North Star, Avalon, Timbuktu. These goals, these dreams is where I want to be.

For example, yesterday I got my credit card bill. Just looking at my statement got me all upset. I know what my finances are, seeing it in print can be too much sometimes. I could feel myself starting to get upset and even cry. I got a hold of my thoughts. I calmed myself down and I reached for my list. I said this bill is a reality now. That doesn't mean that this will always be. My list of goals this is the reality I want to manifest. This is where my heart lies. What could of have been a major crisis of woe-is-me passed.

Your New Year's lists are important. Don't ignore them. Look at your lists daily and make steps to make them manifest. Only you can make 2009 your best year ever.

Sweet Dreaming to you all.

I practice this particular piece of advice and it really helps to keep the focus. I also made a vision board this year and so far, my visions have produced my new blog design. I feel pretty good with how things are going:-)

I like New Years resolutions too...not so much lists...but then, they probably are lists no matter what I call them. I make personal goals, spiritual goals, family goals and professional goals (course, I am not sure that I have enough of a professional life to really title it that).

Anyway, Thank you for being such a faithful reader of my blog. I enjoy getting your comments and knowing you're checking in!

Happy New Year!
Erin :)

Ps. Do you like to make words out of the word verifications?

Happy New Year, Shell! I make lists all the time, and make my way slowly but surely through most of them. I'm very fortunate in today's economy to have a good job, a manageable mortgage and no debt. It wasn't always so.

Wishing you abundant happiness and joy for 2009!

Dear Sister Shell,

I love this!

Seeing your dream as already existing... and then daily walking towards it... this is truly the secret to manifesting our desire..

Michelangelo used to say the sculpture was already in the clay... he just had to chip away the excess to find what was always there...

IN the same way we are never given a dream without also being given the power to realise it...

They exist... they are real... May we hold on to them and remember them daily as we walk the road,

I send you love and laughter this day and a year full of dreams comin true my sister,

With love, M

Good advice Shell. At the moment my list is in my head but I am thinking about it often and acting on the first thing on it at the moment. Good luck with your list.

Shell, did you ever see my sister Shannon's posts on how she got out of debt? You can find the story throughout planetshannon. She helped me save a downpayment for my home, I find her financial writing and personal story really inspiring.

I don't like lists. I have issues with paper. I fight them at every turn. I can't even keep a paper journal anymore. I have themes though: happier and cleaner home, more socializing at home, get a dog, make money with my writing...

well, i sorta have a list, for sure I choose a word to inspire me this new year, I will post about it real soon (when work allows it)
about your bills, breathe and then, convince yourself that it will be low again, don't let it take over your emotions because you may feel like shopping, (normal in a woman) you can do it, keep creating and you will notice that you don't need to spend, create, create, create! that's the key! and you are VERY creative you will get there sweetie!
hugs!
p.s. there is also a great book by Suzy Orman about getting out of debt, i will look for the name and email to you

I love lists and make new ones for different things each day.

Last summer I finished the long haul of paying off all of my debt. You can do it too! If I can anyone can. Make it a priority and it will dissolve away. It may take some time but it is so totally worth it, you are worth it.

I have some new mountains to move this year. I'm a bit scared but I know that I can do it if I go for it.

Life - bring it on!

Like the phrase about making 2009 the best year ever!
I'm working with the word 'presence,' & liked what Suzie said about 'themes;' I have some of those, too. More fresh local food, clearer home, happy family (kids & my pup :)
