I had a very special lunch date today.
I know he is known for dating tall, slim model types. James says it's all hype. He really prefers voluptuous petite woman. I said "Well, I'm the woman for you." James leaned in and took my right hand. I stared into those lovely blue eyes. James replied "I've been waiting for a woman just like you." We shared a romantic lunch over Martini's.
Okay, so maybe that's not how my day went. Hey, it could happen..
Anyway, one of my bests, Ali, and I went to see Quantum of Solace starring the delicious Daniel Craig. Bond is out for blood in this movie. He is kicking ass left and right from Italy to South America. It is pure action, adrenaline and excitement. I adore Judi Dench as M.
We went to see the movie at one of the best theaters in Manhattan: Ziegfeld Theatre. It is The place for Movie premieres. The decor is deep valentine red in seats and curtains, chandeliers in the ceilings, and pictures of old movies all around.
Then we journeyed to Alice's Tea cup. There are three locations in Manhattan. We went to the one on E.64th Street. It's an ode to Alice in Wonderland. It is whimsical inside. Our teas were yummy. The scones were so good and huge!! You get two with your pot of tea. We ate our Vanilla scones there. We both took a scone home to eat later. Ali had the Peach scone and I had a Banana chocolate scone. I can't wait to eat mine.
I had a good Tuesday. I hope all of you did too. Go see Quantum of Solace. If you like action, Bond is your man.

Ooooooooooohhhhh...such a dreamy dreamy movie place. And the tea house too!
I love it!...awww....so looveleee....
Hmmm, I wasn't sure about a "blond" Bond. I have been hearing good things about him though-lol.
That tea shop looks incredible! So whimsical--I don't know how I missed it when I visited Manhattan! Oh well, I'll just have to make another visit. ;) Is the interior as fabulous as I imagine it?
Alice's Teacup sounds great-will have a look later when my computer is not so slow. I can't wait to see Quantum of Solace-I really like this Bond-he is my favourite I think-except for Sean maybe. Glad your Tuesday was fun!
I just can't get used to a blond bond ~ I still think Sean Connery was the ultimate.
The tea shop sounds wonderful! I love Alice, but my daughter was always creeped out by the story!
Vanilla scones sounds like heaven to me...
Wow! That is an incredible theater! Thanks for stopping by and helping me pick. I'm ordering tomorrow so I've got to get on the ball with this and decide.... :)
Oh how lovely that date would have been! He'd be a lucky man. ;)
I got to see a sneak peak last week, I love his edgy version of Bond. Not a caricature at all which rocked.
What a perfect place to see a movie (chandeliers?) and go for tea! There is no place like New York, that is for sure.
Oh Shell wish I were there!:o) The theater is absolutely beautiful! The tea shop just dreamy! What a beautiful time you must have had...fabulous indeed!
Smiles...

Hi everyone. Alice's Tea Cup is really a lovely place. When i have a digital camera, i'll go back to take more pics. And Zigfield Theatre too is a place to see a movie in New York. It's truly elegant. I know the "blond" Bond is still having people get use to him. Daniel is really good as Bond. The movie rocks. Thanks for all the great comments.
I think I have to go back to New York again to wander and find this sort of lovely experience. I love tea rooms. I enjoyed NYC on my only visit, two days, but I obviously only had time to do the typical tourist stops. I'm still weeping at our local tea shop closing up.
