Tamara Dobson

My love for fantasy and science fiction started as a girl.
Tamara Dobson was one of my sheroes as a kid. Best
know for the Cleopatra Jones movies
She starred in the Saturday morning Kid show called Jason of Star Command.
Tamara came on in the second season.

Here was this statuesque, beautiful
black woman kicking butt in space as
Samantha. Representation does matter.
It gave me an extra thrill to see another
sistah in space.
