Remembering Sean

There was a boy named Sean that I loved. He had sea green eyes and long dark blonde hair. We came from different backgrounds. He was a white boy from Canada and I was a black girl from The Bronx. A shared love of Star Wars brought us together. At 15 and 16 we pledged to be forever friends. We dreamed of setting the world on fire with our shared talents of acting, music and writing.

Some dreams don't come true as much as you want them too. Last night I got horrible news that my Sean had died of an overdose of drugs. Today is my birthday. And my beautiful Sean is gone. There are no words to describe how I feel right now. The last time we talked was a month ago. A month ago!!! Now, he's gone.

If there are people in your life who you haven't talked to, call or write them. Tell them again you love them. Life is precious.

This song is for you, Sean. I will never forget you. I will remember you forever.

Lyrics for Remember:

Remember, I will still be here,
As long as you hold me, in your memory

Remember, when your dreams have ended,
Time can be transcended,
Just remember me

I am the one star that keeps burning, so brightly,
It is the last light, to fade into the rising sun

I'm with you,
Whenever you tell,
My story,
For I am all I've done

Remember, I will still be here,
As long as you hold me, in your memory,
Remember me

I am that one voice, in the cold wind,
That whispers,
And if you listen, you'll hear me call across the sky

As long as,
I still can reach out, and touch you,
Then I will never die

Remember, I'll never leave you,
If you will only,
Remember me

Remember me...

Remember, I will still be here,
As long as you hold me,
In your memory

Remember,
When your dreams have ended,
Time can be transcended,
I live forever,
Remember me

Remember me,
Remember... me...

sweet shell. my heart is so heavy with your loss. you are not alone today. the happiness of another year given mixed so harshly with the loss of a loved one's years to come. do remember sean, and i pray that your love for one another will fuel you in new ways though it seems hardly possible right now.

hold on, sweet encourager of mine. ♥

Shell
So very sorry about your loss. Drugs have taken so many from us.
Especially hard when it is some one we love. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
Shell, my son Gabriel is a drug addict! I don't talk about it very often...but believe me your post about Sean hit me hard too. My son has been missing for a few weeks. (He is prone to do that so I try not to worry)
So much love to you!

My Beloved Friend,

I am here...

With you...In silence. In reverence for him and you and all that you shared...

Knowing that only
love
lives forever...

I read once that dying is like watching a ship sail into the sunset...

It disappears over the horizon and we cry and say "Look... Hes gone..."

But in truth...gone only from our sight...

He is still as beautiful as you knew him...

And on another shore
there are other voices...

Saying "Look... There he comes."

"Death is not extinguishing the light.

It is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come." Tagore.

We are here for you.

Always,

My deepest love,

Maithri

Oh Shell, I am so, so very sorry. That is just the most heartbreaking news. I got news recently that the boy I had a crush on growing did the same thing. It's so horrible and tragic. I really wish I could do and say more to help you feel better. I hope your heart heals a little each day.
