Strange Fruit

When I saw Lesley McSpadden cry in anguish over the grand jury's decision, I felt her pain deeply. For the Grace of The Divine, that could be me. Mike Brown could have been my son. 

Though lynching from trees may be more rare today, black people and other people of color are still being lynched in other ways. I acknowledge the ugliness of racism. I refuse to give into its bitter embrace.
