Somewhere in Time Day: June 27th

Happy Tuesday, my friends. Today is what I call Somewhere in Time Day. On this day, June 27th, Richard Collier (Christopher Reeve) goes back in time to meet his love ,Elise McKenna (Jane Seymour).
I know I have talked about Somewhere in Time endlessly here on Swanofdreamers. It is a movie that I loved since I was 11. Over the years, it has echoed in my life in surprising and interesting ways.

Just in case, you are new here and never seen Somewhere in Time, this is the story. Richard Collier (Christopher Reeve) finds a picture of an actress, Elise McKenna (Jane Seymour) in a grand hotel. He falls in love with the picture and becomes obsessed with finding a way to go back in time to be with her.You can find Somewhere in Time on Amazon. I know it has been uploaded on YouTube. I always tell people especially if you like romantic movies, this is one not to miss.

You can go to my Instagram page, I did a small clip as a homage to Somewhere in Time. One of the best things about Somewhere in Time for me, it reminds me that love just is. You don't have to explain it, when you feel the real thing you know.
P.S. I was finally able to load the clip I did down below.

Dream Thought #91: Stay Afraid

“Stay afraid, but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow.” - Carrie Fisher

Getting ready for The Summer Solstice

This year I finally decided to do a post before the Summer Solstice. You can use these ideas to get ready for Summer.

☀ Wear bright colors or accessories in yellow, orange or red.
☀ Buy flowers like daisies, sunflowers, roses, wild chamomile.
☀ Drink lemonade, orange juice or drink tea with honey.

☀ Make a list of activities and events you want to experience this
summer.
☀ Get up at before sunrise to greet the sun.
☀ Resolve to let go on this bright day anything, anyone or thought
patterns that are holding you back. Write it down then burn it
or flush it down the toliet.

These are suggestions my friends. Follow your own intuition on how best to celebrate the Summer Solstice. Wishing you all a blessed Summer Solstice.

Judy Day: June 10

When I was a kid, a regular day could be made extra special if a Judy Garland movie came on. I even loved her in Gay Puree when she played the cat called Musette. Her plucky attitude, her beautiful voice and her pretty girl next door looks drew me in. She always felt like an old friend. I remember there were times, even during Summer, I wouldnt go out with my friends because a Judy Garland movie was on. Yes, I was and still am hardcore about her.

I read she didn't feel as beautiful as other actresses. I feel she was sadly mistaken.

Her vibrant personality always came out in one way or another.

One of my favorite quotes by Judy is this: "Why do people insist on seeing an aura of tragedy around me always? My life isn’t tragic at all. I laugh a lot these days. At myself, too. Lord, if I couldn’t laugh at myself I don’t think I’d be alive.”

This is one of Judy's best known quotes. It is so true "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else."

A true triple threat that made acting, singing and dancing look effortlessly.

When I'm sad or blue, even now, I know Judy is there for me. She's a song or movie away.

It is sobering for me to be now older than Judy when she died. She died at 47. I'm 48. I like to dream of the magnificent things she would of done. God Bless you, Judy.

The Honey Moon

Happy Full Moon Friday. This sweet moon has many names: Strawberry Moon, Rose Moon and the most famous name, The Honeymoon. For all my Sagittarius fiery moon and sun babies this is your moon. So light it up!! Tonight, I have a sweet rose scented candle and pink roses all over my home. If pink isn't your thing, then perhaps you can use the Sagittarius favored colors of blue, orange or white. You can wear, light or eat the colors. That leads a wide room for your Full Moon celebrations.

I am wishing you all a magical Full Moon. May all the sweet things in life you desire come to you happily and easily.

For Roger

Last Month, Sir Roger Moore passed away at 89. He was one of my favorites since I was little. He was the "funny" Bond to me. Roger said his Bond was the lover. Indeed he was. His Bond wasn't my favorite role of his.

One of the things about Sir Roger he seemed to have witty and laid back approach to life. Whenever I saw him interviewed, he was always the consummate gentleman.

He took any criticism of his portrayal of Bond in style. Saying capriciously "I am the fourth best Bond."; His acting style he said is: My acting range has always been something between the two extremes of “raises left eyebrow” and “raises right eyebrow”. I think Sir Roger may have been harsh on himself. To carry a film series especially as popular as Bond takes a bit more than eyebrow raising!

How I came to truly love Roger is from watching him on the weekends as Simon Templar in The Saint. By the time I watched the series with my mom, it had been in reruns for years.

Nothing was better than watching Roger being all handsome, suave and saving the day as The Saint. If you have never seen The Saint, you should try to find it. I am sure it his portrayal in The Saint that led to Bond.

I'm always sad when an actor I likes passes on. I do wish I had the opportunity to meet him. We would have drinks, sat out on the Riveria and talk about life. I would of told him that be may be Bond to many, to me he will always be The Saint to me. Rest in peace, Sir Roger.

Joy for June

Happy Thursday and Happy June, my friends.

June, I believe, is the only month, named after a Goddess. It is named after the Roman Goddess Juno. Juno deals with marriage, love, fertility, pregnancy, childbirth and money.

Mine is the Month of Roses; yes, and mine
The Month of Marriages! All pleasant sights
And scents, the fragrance of the blossoming vine,
The foliage of the valleys and the heights.
Mine are the longest days, the loveliest nights;
The mower's scythe makes music to my ear;
I am the mother of all dear delights;
I am the fairest daughter of the year."
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

My word of the year is Romance. That word has flowed into my life in delightful and unexpected ways. June is the perfect month for Romance in all forms. What good things you like to be June kissed for you? More Romance? More money flowing into your life? Finish old creative projects or start new ones? Whatever it is, take today to time to think about what you most desire to manifest.

Wishing you all a wonderful bright and happy June.
