Happy New Year's Eve

Many, many years ago I heard this version of What are You Doing New Year's Eve? Since that time, it has become my favorite version sung by Vic Damone. Hoping you are spending your New Year's Eve with your favorite person tonight. If not, hopefully you have warm memories of that special person to keep you warm as the 2015 passes the baton to 2016.

Merry Christmas Moon

Merry Christmas, my friends. And it's also a Full Moon. I can't remember the last time it was a Full Moon on Christmas. Today is very special.

I kind of wish it is snowy like this today. Alas, it is a sunny day here. Still, it's Christmas. It's also the full moon in Cancer. All my sun and moon sign Cancer babies, this is your moon. Cancer energy is all about family, love, warmth, feelings, friendships, and water.

Let's do something special today. I am big believer in wishes. Wishes to me are like first cousins to Prayers. Wishes are real and can come true. What makes a wish come true for me is my intent and how much love is radiating from my heart. It may sound corny, but for me is true.

When the evening comes, whether you are celebrating with family or enjoying a Christmas solo, find time for yourself. Look out the window. Hopefully you can see the moon. If not, know Lady Luna is up there regardless. Put your dominant hand over your heart. Feel that beautiful energy of love radiating from your heart and your soul. Close your eyes and think of something close to your heart you desire. Let go of any judgements or fears about the wish. Feel that wish coming true. Feel how it would feel in your body, your heart and soul when it comes true. Say your wish out loud to yourself. Imagine the energy of the wish flying out of you circling up to the Full Moon and beyond. Once you feel the energy is gone, open your eyes. Know now that your wish is picking up energy to manifest itself back to you. Be open to how the wish comes to you.

I'm wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Beautiful Full Moon

The Force is Wide Awake Now...

Happy Wednesdsay, everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful Solstice. I'm in the process of finishing the last touches for Christmas.

I'm here to give my review of The Force Awakens. I will keep it spoiler free as I can. Though I'm thinking most people saw it by now. The big takeaway is Go See It! Like go now, if you haven't seen it. It's good. If you a fan of the saga, you will enjoy. If you never seen Star Wars, you can still enjoy it immensely. If you hate Star Wars, well I can't help you there. To each her/his own right?

Basically, General Leia is looking for her brother, Luke Skywalker. Luke is missing, the First Order is rising out of the ashes of the Empire, the galaxy is threatened again and there is a man named Kylo Ren running around with visions of being the next Darth Vader. If things aren't bad enough, the First Order is hunting Luke as well. The don't wish to see the Jedi rise again.

Meanwhile, a pilot, working for the rebellion, named Poe Dameron has a map that may find Luke. He leaves the info in his trusty droid BB-8 who escapes. Poe gets captured by Kylo Ren. Meanwhile, a stormtrooper named Finn is waking up and wants to leave the First Order. Back on the desert planet of Jakku, Rey is eking out a living as a scavenger of old wrecks waiting for her family to return again.

Now how do Poe, Finn and Rey meet up? Do they meet up with General Leia, Han Solo and Chewie? Do they ever find Luke? Why is Kylo Ren obsessed with Vader and finding Luke? And what the heck happened to Luke?

Now, I'm not going to tell you. You have to see the movie for itself. Does the plot seem familiar? Yes, it does. There are twists in this. I also appreciate the echoes from the other six movies referenced through out The Force Awakens. If you a deep fan like I am, you will catch them all.

The best thing about the movie it's a great blend of action, humor and heart. It sets up the next two movies coming perfectly. If you don't know, there is also two other stand alone movies coming called Rogue One and Young Han Solo.

The only thing I had a true problem being a Luke fan is that I don't buy that Luke would of just left like that. The Luke Skywalker I grew up with doesn't go all hermit and leaves everyone. I know that serves the plot. (That's a personal issue on my part.)

It's also great that you have a woman and two men of color in the leads. That totally rocks.

So, to sum it up. Go see it. Enjoy The Force Awakens.

Of course, May The Force Be With You Always....

Winter Solstice

Happy Winter Solstice and First Day of Winter. Though Winter is here, the sun is returning back to us. The wheel spins again as the day gets longer. This is my season being a Winter baby.

Tuesday is a day of action, make your Winter Dreams list. Write down all the great events, people, places, etc that you like to manifest during the season. Your list can be as simple or extravagant as you wish to be. The only requirement is your list be true to you.

I have been recently doing things that are pushing my boundaries in a good way. Put in a few of those scary sweet dreams. The ones your heart pounds secretly for. You can do it, my friends.

Light candles in colors of the sun. Wear colors in yellow, orange, red. You can even use white for the color of snow. Toast the return of light with orange juice or lemonade. Liquor can be added if you wish.

The light is returning back, my friends. Celebrate and Enjoy. Remember, you don't have to wait for January 1st to make changes. Do it today. Do it now.

Happy Winter.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....

Happy Friday, my friends. By the time, you read this I'll be at the movies meeting Rey, Finn, Poe and Kylo Ren from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The truth is I'm hoping this guy will show up:

He has to. Come on, its Lando!

The bigger lure is this guy for me.

Is he still Jedi or did he go dark side? I'm still betting on Luke being Jedi. My adoration for Luke Skywalker knows no bounds. If you have been reading my blog, you know of my not so secret love for Mark Hamill. I'm sure Mark does too since I'm sweetly stalk him on twitter. (He has favorited three of my tweets to him, so far.)

Of course, Leia ,now a General, Han, R2, Threepio, Chewie and The Millennium Falcon are all back too. Double yay! It's great to go back to an universe I grew up watching again.

Have a Force Filled Weekend, my friends.

This space is for peace and healing....

Happy Tuesday, my friends. This space is for peace and healing. If you are going into this Holiday season with troubles, worries, health concerns and other things weighing you down, I want to let you know you are not alone. Call on your Divine Creator, your guardian angels, celestial beings, your ancestors for help, guidance and love. Pain comes from the illusion that we are alone. We are always cared and loved for.

I'm here for you. If no one told you, I love you. I know you are destined for greatness. Keep on keeping.

Here are my favorite affirmations that I like to use:

Isn't it wonderful! Something marvelous is happening to me right now! I can feel it!

Miracles happen every day and one is coming my way today.

I deserve the best and accept the best now.

Also do this, go back into your memory to find a favorite memory when you were happy. Bask in it again like its happening now. Good feelings attracts good energy.

I'm wishing you all a wonderful Tuesday.

Happy Birthday Emily

My not so secret obsession with Emily Dickinson started only in my mid thirties about ten years ago. One day, I decided to really read her works. I had read only a few of her poems. I knew I had to dive right in. I did.

I found a kindred spirit in her poems. A friend from across time through her poetry. I love a lot of her poems, so hard to find a few to share. Here are the ones I felt compelled to share with all of you.

Her love of nature:

(661)

Could I but ride indefinite
As doth the Meadow Bee
And visit only where I liked
And No one visit me

And flirt all Day with Buttercups
And marry whom I may
And dwell a little everywhere
Or better, run away

With no Police to follow
Or chase Him if He do
Till He should jump Peninsulas
To get away from me—

I said "But just to be a Bee"
Upon a Raft of Air
And row in Nowhere all Day long
And anchor "off the Bar"

What Liberty! So Captives deem
Who tight in Dungeons are.

Her strong spirit:

(1176)

We never know how high we are
Till we are called to rise;
And then, if we are true to plan,
Our statures touch the skies—

The Heroism we recite
Would be a daily thing,
Did not ourselves the Cubits warp
For fear to be a King—

And the passion of a deep love in her poems, that was or wasn't, running through her poems:

(211)

Come slowly – Eden!
Lips unused to Thee –
Bashful – sip thy Jessamines –
As the fainting Bee –

Reaching late his flower,
Round her chamber hums –
Counts his nectars –
Enters – and is lost in Balms.

I find comfort and inspiration in her poetry. I have the complete poems of Emily Dickinson. Please if you get her poems, read the ones that have all her lovely dashes in it! Emily wrote them like that for a reason. I prefer to read her natural not edited by others.

Happy Birthday Emily. I hope in that heaven of wildflowers, bees and butterflies, you know how much your poetry has meant to generations of people including me.
