Aquarius Moon

Happy Blue Moon Friday! Anytime there are two full Moons in a month, the second Full Moon is called a Blue Moon. Blue Moons aren't as rare as we are led to believe. They happen every 18 months.

This Full Moon is special to me. It is the Full Moon in Aquarius. Special and amazing events happen to me during this Full Moon. For all my Moon and sun sign Aquarius babies, this is our lucky Moon.

The energy of the Full Moon is for everyone to use. A Blue Moon is extra luminous, dazzling and beautiful. Aquarian energy is about freedom. Personal Freedom. Freedom for all of Humanity.

Think where in your life you feel most free? Where you feel more alive and yourself? Whatever you do, think or to feel like that, bring it to parts of your life where you feel stilfed, bored or burdened.Do one small action towards your personal freedom.

Which could look like saying no, saying yes, more exercise, cooking great food, less internet, reading more, telling people off, setting your boundaries, loosening up around people, dropping unwanted activities.

Be Free to be you!

Also before I forget, this is a great time to make wishes. This time spend your wishes on yourself. Wish big and happy.

National Vanilla Ice Cream Day

Oh, Vanilla how do I love thee. I remember one of my friends mom telling me that it was boring that I love Vanilla ice cream. Boring!!?? It's a shame that even now saying something or someone is Vanilla means they are boribg.

How can this sweet simple delight be blah? Things don't have to be complex to be interesting.



I am here to remind you that today is National Vanilla Ice Cream Day.

Go out there and get a yummy scoop or two of Vanilla ice cream. Be proud to be a Vanilla ice cream lover.

If you are lactose intolerant, they do have Vanilla ice cream for you, too. Breyer's has a good one that my husband, Sean, eats.

Pump up your Monday

I know, I know it's Monday. Depending on where Mondays find you: at a 9-5 job, sahm or sahd, coming in from the night shift, unemployed or laying out at the beach, you can still make Mondays great.

Yes. You can. Here are my top five ways to Pump up your Monday:


1) Go out to eat. Don't cook. Go out for dinner with family and friends tonight. Unwind and let someone else cook for a change.

2) Go to the movies. Wanting to see the latest movie and don't like weekend movie crowds. Monday nights at the movie is relaxed, fun and drama free.

3) Plan something fun. Go dancing, to an exhibit, a stroll at the local botanical gardens, a jazz club. Make Mondays your day to get out of the house and into life.

4) Make Mondays your yes day to yourself. Whatever any one asks you today, if it doesn't make you light up don't do it. Yes, even with work. Shift it to tomorrow or delegate it to someone else.

5) Make sure to spend time outside today or tonight. Sit in your local park, walk among your local wildflowers, take a book to read outside. Bask in the sunlight or moonlight to fill your soul.

Remember it is your life and your Monday. Don't let Monday go by without having fun and filling up your spirit. Have a great and Happy Monday.

Jayne Kennedy

Happy Friday, my fellow dreamers. Since Friday is the day dedicated to beauty and love. I like to share one of my favorite beautiful women who was one of my sheroes growing up.

Her name is Jayne Kennedy. She had a multifacted career as a model, actor and one of the first African American women sport casters on tv. Jayne to me epitomized glamour, beauty and poise. Jayne always carried herself with a quiet strength. She eventually decided in the 90's to focus on her second happy marriage to Bill Overton and raise their four girls. She still remains one of my favorites even today.

One of my favorite time of summer is the sunset hours. That time that hangs suspended between day and night. The sky has a beautiful energy and I can feel for just a while I'm outside of time. I think to myself this is what eternity feels like. Time has no meaning. It is just me, the sky and my thoughts.

If your life gets hectic, take this lovely time to just be with yourself. You can read, write, dream, pray, plan. As day and night use this time to connect, so can you connect with your own spirit.

Romantic Vignette #13: Butterfly girl

Charlie could feel a warm feeling in her belly before they came. She loved her friends, at times she feel different from them. She knew it has to do with the butterflies. Then one day, she went to her local park. Charlie got turned around and the sky began to look dark. She got scared. Soon,the butterflies came. Pretty small ones in pink, white and yellow dancing around Charlie. As they fluttered around her, Charlie followed them back to the path she knew;and,was able to get home in time before the storm. Charlie finally accepted she is different and liked it. No other girl had butterflies as good friends.

Happy Tahiti Friday

Hello, my friends. I won't be doing the Mad Tea Party this year. Didn't carve out the time to plan it enough, hopefully I'll do it next year. The Tea Party will go on tomorrow, so go on over to A Fanciful Twist hosted by the talented Vanessa Valencia. I am looking forward to seeing all the lovely Tea parties.

Hello,my friends. Happy July. Happy Canada day to all my Canadian readers.This is a special month. We have two Full Moons in July. Today is the Full Moon in Capricorn and on the 31st it is the Full Moon in Aquarius. The second full moon is called the Blue Moon. July is a month full of beautiful energy that is accessible for all of us to use.



Tonight, as I said before, is the Full Moon in Capricorn. All my sun and moon Capricorn babies this is your special Moon. Of course, for all us the Full Moon is a time to connect within.

I made the realization yesterday that Capricorn is the sea goat. Capricorn carries earth and water energy; also the sign of watery Cancer ruling now. There is a lot of water and earth energy swirling in the air.

Depending on where you are think of what parts of your life needs more attention.

For Earth energy, here are some questions for you:
Are you getting enough exercise?
Do you feel financially secure?
Do you experiment with new food recipes?
Do you feel connected with your sensual side?

For water energy:
Are you to able to express how you feel clearly?
Are the closest relationships nourishing to your soul?
Do you give yourself time to dream new goals?
Do you have practices in place to help when you feel upset or overwhelmed?

These are a few questions to spark you under this Full Moon. As always, make sure to follow your own intuition on what feels right to do. Remember the energy of the Full Moon lasts for three days: day before, the day of, the day after.
