Romantic Vignette #8: Florence

How could things change in a week? mused Florence. Five days ago, she had been practically shunned by her family for breaking off the engagement with Miles. Rich influential Miles of the Scott family. Miles had a dark side. She only confided in Granny Delano what he had tried to do her. When Granny had called her down to Clarkstown, her parents had no choice to obey. Last night, at the party Granny had thrown, Florence had found him. Richard. Handsome and kind. Those blue eyes that reminded of her sunshine days. He was going to call on her this afternoon. Let the day never end....

To Life

Happy Friday, my friends. Life can be fragile and can end in a moment's notice. Wear your best dress today. Take time to do things you love. Celebrate all that you have now. See how blessed you are. Say yes to yourself as much as you can. Say no to the people and things that drain your Spirit. Remember, you are powerful. Life is waiting for you to take the reins to live.

If no one else has told you today, I believe in you.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Actors on Acting #1: James Garner

Hi, my friends. With my little one, hopefully going to preschool this fall. I feel the call of my acting singing to me. I have been making baby steps back to acting again. With that in mind, I'm inspired to introduce a new series here along with Dream Thoughts and Romantic Vignettes. It's called Actors on Acting. If your an actor, I hope you enjoy. If your not an actor, you'll get to see what actors feel about their craft. Hopefully you all will enjoy it.

I didn't get a chance to do a proper tribute to James Garner. With his handsome face and easy charm, it hid I feel how good of an actor he really was. When I found this quote, it made sense to me. Simple can be powerful too.

"I'm a Spencer Tracy-type actor. His idea was to be on time, know your words, hit your marks and tell the truth. Most every actor tries to make it something it isn't looks for the easy way out. I don't think acting is that difficult if you can put yourself aside and do what the writer wrote." - James Garner

Romantic Vignette #7: Philomena

Philomena had high hopes for her life. She is the first one in her family to go to college. She's proud to go to Howard University in the fall. What would happen to Henry when she left? He felt she should stay home like the other girls and they get married when she turned 18. Something stirred in Philomena's blood that said: Sail away to those far off dreams. Philomena knew she to answer that call and find her destiny...

Dream Thought # 66: Your Mission in Life

"Here is a test to find out whether your mission in life is complete. If you’re alive, it isn’t" - Lauren Bacall

The Best of Bacall for me:
To Have and To Have Not
The Big Sleep
How To Marry a Millionaire
The Mirror Has Two Faces (nominated for her only Oscar for that performance)

For Robin

My friend, Neo, and I went to amazing supportive group called the Shakespeare Forum here in NYC on Tuesday. It is place where actors can share their Shakespeare monologues and scene work. As we walked in the rain crossing Broadway, we talked about Robin Williams. How his death was heartbreaking for us as fellow actors and growing up with Robin way back from Mork and Mindy. We both wondered if the artistic director would mention his death. He did in a gentle and beautiful way.

I could go on how I always admired Robin's intuitive acting style with his comedy and drama. Or that I related with Robin as a only child he created imaginary worlds to stave off loneliness, something I totally get. His long friendship with my beloved, Christopher Reeve, that at the point when Chris thought of suicide himself, Robin came dressed as his doctor making him laugh and reminded Chris how important life is. Robin raised money for charities and used his fame for good causes.

I wish that in those final dark moments before he decided to step of the stage of life, that the love of his family, friends, fans and faith could of pushed away the darkness so he could of lived to have seen the sunrise on August 12th. Sometimes you don't have to push through to get to the next day, sometimes you just need to get through to the next thirty minutes or hour. To find the energy to reach out for help. Depression is a dark place. Some of us, sadly, don't make it out alive.

Thank you Robin for the laughter and drama. How you inspired us and made us laugh. You are an original. There will be no other like you. Thank you. Thank you. I hope now you are at peace, sweet Robin. You will be missed deeply.

Full Moon weekend

Hello, my friends. The time away has been good to help me heal and just hear my heart speak.

I feel the need to get back to Swan of Dreamers. Here I am.

Tonight, I sat outside my building to soak in that lovely Moon energy. I came upstairs feeling illuminated. This picture is how the moon looked here.

Happy Full Moon. This is one of my favorite full moons:the Aquarius moon. All my sun and moon Aquarius babies, my sun sign is Aquarius, this our moon. Good things always happen for me within Aquarius moon.

Feel the need to revolt, reveal and be Revolutionary? That's the sweet zany Aquarius energy speaking to you. Follow the call, my friends.

Here is a simple Full Moon ritual for you. Go outside after sunset. Find a spot where you feel safe. Sit, lie down,or stand. Watch the moon. Stay at least ten minutes.

That's it.

I did this tonight for an hour. My whole body energy felt brighter. I still have the lunar glow feeling even now. Simple can be powerful, my friends.

If you can't get outside for whatever reason, watch the moon from your window. If it's bad weather where you are, burn a blue, white or silver candle. Gaze at the flame. Visualize the flame is the light of the moon throwing it's light on you.

There is always a way you can find to celebrate the full moon, my friends

I'm wishing you all a beautiful full moon.

P.S. I'm thinking of having a linky party for the next full Moon. Never did one before, might be fun to try.
