The Two Worlds of Jennie Logan

Happy Tuesday, my friends. Yesterday, I got to rewatch
a favorite tv movie of mine called The Two Worlds of
Jennie Logan
(1979).

This one is for all my romantic movie fans out there.

It stars Lindsay Wagner as Jennie and Marc Singer as
David Reynolds. Jennie and her husband move to
the country to get a fresh start to save their
troubled marriage. They buy an old Victorian house.
Jennie discovers a beautiful white lace gown in the attic
from the turn of the century. She is entranced by it.

As soon as she puts it on, Jennie begins to get what she thinks
are visions of being in another time. The visions are really her being
transported to the past via the dress. She meets the
original owner of the house, an artist, David played
by the awesomely cute Marc Singer. (I had a big crush
on him from Beastmaster and the original series V)

As her husband tries to mend fences with Jennie, she
finds herself attracted to David from the past. So
what can she do? Which man will she choose? Can you
find true love in the past?

So many questions. I can't tell you the answers, my friends.
You have to watch it. It's not on netflix but it's on
You Tube.

It is sweet dreamy romantic movie. Lindsay Wagner
and Marc Singer are a lovely couple in this. Also
for Dallas fans, Linda Gray is in as well. I do
love her dress that transports her back in time.
It is my kind of dress.

Here's a clip for all of you. Enjoy.

P.S. August 1st is starting Leonie Dawson's creative
Goddess e-course

Goddess Circle since July which gets you all her e-courses.
If you need a creative juicing for late summer, go check

Lessons

I'm allowing the sun to set on the recent conflicts I have been having.
What I've learned from all of this is...

Even when you do good, you will be mocked
Even when you do your best, others will feel you haven't done
enough.
Even when you stand up for yourself, someone will feel you
are now the villain.

Still my friends,
Always do your best, do good and be your own champion.

On a lighter note my friend Vanessa is having her
Mad Tea Party. If you never been to her Tea parties
before, go on over.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Don't Take Anything Personally

Whatever I do or say lately, I'm in conflict with someone. Sigh.
It has been draining for me. I'm doing my best
to deal. It hasn't been easy.

Then I saw this reminder and it made me feel better today.

From the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

2. Don’t Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you.
What others say and do is a projection of their own reality,
their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions
and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and fun weekend.

The Lost Moment

Though I still miss watching TCM, with Netflix
I'm discovering more classic films.

The Lost Moment (1947) starring Susan Hayward, Robert Cummings
and Agnes Moorehead is a gothic gem of a movie.

Robert Cummings is Lewis Venable. A book publisher who always
has one eye in the past. He gets wind from a friend of
existing love letters between a famous poet named Jeffrey Ashton
and his lover, Julianna Bordereau.

To his amazement Julianna (Agnes Moorehead) is still alive at 105.
He takes residence in her crumbling home in Venice under the alias of a
writer. There he finds himself attracted to her
dour niece Tina (Susan Hayward) who his highly suspicious of him
lodging in their home while trying to find the letters.

Lewis quickly realizes he is entering a home full of shadows and
mysteries. To tell you more, would ruin the story. The Lost
Moment is based on the novella The Aspern Papers by Henry James.
The acting is topnotch and it keeps you guessing on what will
happen next. This is a lovely film that could be remade
today.

If you like your romance with gothic elements,
The Lost Moment is for you.

You can watch it on Netflix and Youtube.

Here's a clip for you that happens later on in the film.

Andy

It's funny when an actor you never met in real life
passes, you still feel connection to them through
their work.

I became a fan of Andy Griffith with his show
"Matlock" when it first aired. It was and still is one of
my favorite mystery shows. Whenever the reruns come on, I watch it
faithfully. Andy's Ben Matlock played that Southern
boy charm to the hilt. You always knew no matter what
Matlock was going to get the killer. He did in his
own unique way.

When I found Matlock on DVD at my local library, I
was so happy. The first three months of Jacob being
home. I watched Matlock which helped keep this new
mom balanced.

Andy Griffith has done a wide variety of roles in
movies and film. Every one has their favorite Andy role.
For me it's Matlock.

Andy, may the angels fly you home. Thank you for all
these great memories you gave in all your roles.

Dream Thoughts #44: Faith in Yourself

Getting ahead in a difficult profession requires avid
faith in yourself. That is why some people with
mediocre talent, but with great inner drive,
go so much further than people with vastly superior talent.

Do it Anyway

One of my best friends needed my help.
I was taught by my mom that Do unto others as you want
others to do unto you.

I got the worst tongue lashing from her about
helping my bestie. I was called foolish, among other things.
Her words hurt me deeply.

Sometimes, you have to do what you feel is right.
That may mean going against friends and family.
In the end, what truly matters is what you think
of yourself. What you can live with.

I searched for this poem attributed to Mother Teresa.
It fit exactly how I feel. Hopefully, if someone else
is going through something similar, these words
can comfort you too.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway. In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

P.S. Happy Capricorn Full Moon.
Here's what I wrote last year.

For about six months, I have been eyeing Leonie Dawson's
Goddess Circle.

Finally, I took the plunge about two weeks ago.
The Goddess Circle offers a plethora of e-courses, meditations,
workbooks, videos and all that lovely interaction in the Goddess circles.
It has been a blast.

I've been diving into The Business Goddess E-course. This week,
I'm finally started a mailing list for my two websites: acting and tarot. Ideas
for free content and e-books swirl around my Aquarian brain.

I've haven't even scratched the surface of all the other e-courses.
Leonie is offering all of this for $99. The rate will double after
July 3rd. If you've been needing a boost of creativity, ingenuity
and delight. Go check out The Goddess Circle. It is the best $99 dollars
I have ever spent.

And, also wishing a Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian
friends. I love Canada!
