September Affair

Happy Friday.

To kick off Memorial day weekend, I have
a movie suggestion for my classic romantic
movie fans out there.

September Affair (1950) starring Joan Fontaine
And Joseph Cotten.

Joan Fontaine is Manina Stewart, a talented
pianist. Manina is on her first trip back to America
after years abroad. On the plane leaving Italy
She meets engineer David Lawrence played by
the dreamy Joseph Cotten. The plane has to
make a emergency repair in Capri. The two decide
On a whim to see Capri for a few hours while
the plane is being fixed.

Manina and David connect in those few hours.
Returning back to the airport, they find their plane
left without them. They decide to spend a few
Days in Capri as friends enjoying the country side.

Manina and David are now falling in love.
Manina decides they must return to their lives:
her upcoming concert tour and his troubled marriage.
As they make arrangements to go home, they find
The plane they missed crashed and left no survivors.
Everyone they know thinks they are dead. Do they
return home to their lives or start a new
life together?

I could tell you. It’s better if you watch this
gem of a movie yourself. Joan Fontaine and Joseph
Cotten are wonderful together. I have to admit if
Joseph Cotten wanted me to run away with him I
be somewhat tempted. A lovely performance by Jessica Tandy,
as Joseph Cotten’s wife. I’ve never seen her that young
and she lights up the scenes she is in.

Best of all, You can watch September Affair
on Netflix or Youtube.

If you have any romantic movie suggestions for me, share in
comments below. I’m always on the look out for classic movies
I’ve never seen.

Wishing you all a wonderful and safe Memorial Day Weekend.

Dream Thought #43: Be Drunk

Be Drunk
by Charles Baudelaire

You have to be always drunk. That's all there is to it. It is the only way. So as not to feel the horrible burden of time that breaks your back and bends you to the earth, you have to be continually drunk.

But on what? Wine, poetry or virtue, as you wish. But be drunk.

And if sometimes, on the steps of a palace or the green grass of a ditch, in the mournful solitude of your room, you wake again, drunkenness already diminishing or gone, ask the wind, the wave, the star, the bird, the clock, everything that is flying, everything that is groaning, everything that is rolling, everything that is singing, everything that is speaking. . .ask what time it is and wind, wave, star, bird, clock will answer you: "It is time to be drunk! So as not to be the martyred slaves of time, be drunk, be continually drunk! On wine, on poetry or on virtue as you wish."

Super May Moon

Tonight is the Full Moon in Scorpio.
It’s also being called the Super Moon. This moon will
appear bigger and brighter to us.

So all my sun and moon sign babies in Scorpio,
This is your special moon. For the rest of us, it
can be a great moon for us too.

Scorpio is a water sign. To me Scorpio is like the floors of
the ocean deep. Mysteries, secrets and treasures lie in the
strength and depth of this sign.

Tonight, dive into the depths of your feelings.
What feelings do you need to express?
What obsessions are feeding you or bringing
you down?
What secrets are you even keeping from yourself
that lie in the outer reaches of your mind?

For me, I want to begin to release the weight
of new motherhood that I have acquired.
This is figuratively and literally for me.
Just as a child is born, so is a parent.
A new entity that you have no idea what will
be in you until you become a parent.

As always, do whatever you feel drawn to do
on this beautiful Full Moon. Wishing you all
A wonderful and magickal weekend.

May The 4th Be With You...

Today is May the 4th aka Star Wars Day.
It is a play on one of Star Wars most famous lines.
May the Force be with You.

I'm a lifelong Star Wars fan, so I had to share
the love for my movies today. This is
one of my favorite scenes from the
whole saga. No words spoken yet much conveyed.

Showing my personal fave, Luke Skywalker
(played by my long time crush, Mark Hamill.)

Merry Magical May

Happy May 1st: May Day. Some people call this time
Beltane. When the boundaries between our
world and the world of the Faeries are thin.

It is a time of beauty where Mama Earth is
vibrant in all her glory. The flowers growing
in all colors, the bees buzzing and the urge
to bask in the lingering hours of sunlight
come upon us. Good old Spring Fever.

Perhaps you don't believe in Faeries? You
can't deny the loveliness of May and how
your senses seem to open up more with Spring.

How can you celebrate this beautiful time:

Go out and be in nature.

Make a commitment
to spend more time outdoors this spring.

Make a promise to recycle more.

Decorate your home with flowers.(Real or Fake.)
I love decorating my altar with fake flowers.

Burn candles in beautiful colors that
remind you of spring.

Throw out the old clothes and makeup.
Splurge on beautiful things to wear.

As you go through your day. Say to
yourself "I am beautiful." We are
all beautiful expressions of our
Creatrix.

Wishing you a beautiful May Day.
If you happen to hear beautiful music
calling to you. It could be the Faeries.
Sometimes you have to believe before
you see.
