Happy Monday, everyone. I am serious Winter baby. Even for me, I'm almost tired of this snow. NYC is going to get another snowstorm tomorrow. This is the 8th one so far!!

Today is Thursday, my favorite day. This means it's Dreamy Thursday here at Swan of Dreamers.
Last night I was mulling over what should I write about for Dreamy Thursday. I had a lot of ideas. Then it was staring me in the face. At my bedside, I had stack of older issues that I am re-reading of one of my favorite magazines: Victoria.
If you know Victoria, then you understand why I'm devoted to this beautiful magazine. I found Victoria Magazine in late of 1997 at my local stationery store. From that first issue, I was entrance by the beauty, elegance and well written articles in it. Victoria is chock full with homes, fashion, books, entrepreneurs, food, travel, artists-in-residence and so much more.
When Victoria closed down in 2003, it felt like an old friend had left me. Victoria knew my romantic soul like no other. Then in 2008, she came roaring back to life which left me and so many other fans cheering.
I've been rereading my January issues from the past to the recent one I got today. Please go on over to Victoria Magazine and check it out. Maybe, even try a free trial issue. You will not be disappointed. I scanned a few images for all of you from January-February issues from 2001-now. Enjoy.

I'm 42!! Yes, I am. The same 42 which

universe according to writer Douglas Adams
from Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. ( A great
series, by the way)
So hopefully by my next birthday, I figure
out what that is!!
I have accomplished a lot in my
life and there is way much more to do.
I'm excited to see what 42 brings to me.

YAY!! It's Thursday. Happy Thursday. That means it's Dreamy Thursday.
I celebrate things, people, places..whatever that makes me feel dreamy, inspired and juiced up.
One of my favorite places online is Stylelikeu I'm quite mad for this place. Basically they are videos of regular people talking about their own personal style. What's so cool about it is the styles range from glam to vintage to boho to minimalism and everything in between. Showcases women and men of all ages, races, background.
It's a delightful place. It inspired me to think about my own personal style and how it reflects me. My style is what I call Romantic Gypsy. I love long flowing skirts, gypsy earrings, scarves, shawls, granny boots, moccassins, and peasant blouses.
Me just talking about Stylelikeu doesn't do it justice. So follow the link two paragraphs above and go on over. I know you'll be just as fascinated as I am. You may even find your style twin there as well.

It's our first Full Moon of 2011. This moon shines in the sign of Cancer. All my Cancer sun and moon sign babies this is your moon to shine. Use it well.
This Full Moon has many different names but I like the name of the Wolf Moon. Though we have the mystique of the Lone Wolf. Wolves are really family orientated creatures. That totally fits with the Cancer moon. Cancer which is water energy is all about family, homes, healing and feelings.
If you want to celebrate this Full Moon
* Take a healing bath. * Burn blue, white, silver or moon shaped candles * Reach out to old friends and family to let you know how much you care. * Watch romantic or inspiring movies to encourage you. * Spend the night tuning in to your intuition. Do one action you got from your intuition. * Let your wild side out for a day or two. Be outrageous.
Of course, these are just suggestions. Whatever you want to do on this Full Moon is what you feel guided to do.
It's Thursday. That means it's Dreamy Thursday here at Swan of Dreamers. Where I talk about people, places, objects, etc that give me that extra special dreamy glow. That inspire and enrich my soul.
Honestly, yesterday was a challenging day for me. I woke up this morning feeling just tired. As the sun rose higher, so did my spirits.
Now, on to the Dreamy Thursday. A few weeks ago I saw Bright Star (2009) about the romance of John Keats and Fanny Brawne. What I loved most about the movie is that Keats' poetry and letters is used through out. There is one letter that captured my heart. Actually, it's on my list to commit to memory.
I wanted to share this with all with you. Hey you never know when reciting Keats will come in handy.
This letter is from John to Fanny, Summer 1819
Ask yourself my love whether you are not very cruel to have so entrammelled me, so destroyed my freedom. Will you confess this in the Letter you must write immediately, and do all you can to console me in it— make it rich as a draught of poppies to intoxicate me— write the softest words and kiss them that I may at least touch my lips where yours have been. For myself I know not how to express my devotion to so fair a form: I want a brighter word than bright, a fairer word than fair. I almost wish we were butterflies and liv'd but three summer days —three such days with you I could fill with more delight than fifty common years could ever contain.

Two years ago today, I was sitting in Rockefeller Center waiting for my headshots to be printed.
I was reading a book of poems by Emily Dickinson. As the day went on, I began to feel strange. Like something was wrong. I dismissed it as me just feeling over sensitive that day.
Though I didn't know it then, my friend Sean had died. I would learn of his death about ten days later.
When I look back on that day, I know now what I felt was him leaving this world. Though he is physically gone, the bond between us has not been broken. Because Love Never Dies. If any one tells you different, they are wrong!
Happy Monday, everyone. I do a daily card of the day from my Tarot and Goddess decks. Today, I got the lovely and luminous Goddess Lakshmi.
Whenever I see her face, I start smiling. I feel like I just been gifted with my own private rainbow. I wanted to share her with all of you.
Wherever you are or what you are doing, remember that being happy and full of good fortune is something that we all can have. Celebrate and focus on the people, things and events that make you Happy. A little bit of true Happiness can help you through challenging times. (I know from experience)
In honor of my word of the year: Creativity, I decided
to do something different here at Swan of Dreamers.
Since Thursday is my favorite day, hence I have created
Dreamy Thursday.
Now, what is Dreamy Thursday? Every Thursday, I'm going
to write about something, someone, place, song, book, clothing,
etc that makes me all super dreamy inside. That feeling of
happiness, zest and nourishment that comes from something
touching your soul.
Along with creating Dreamy Thursday, I'm going to open
up to guests posts. If you want to write a post about what
makes you dreamy. It can be anything. As long as it truly makes
your heart sing.
I have never done guests posts. It will be an adventure for

go from there.
Now, on to my first Dreamy Thursday:
Don Juan DeMarco (1994). I saw this lovely gem when
it first came out and it has been part of my beloved movie
collection ever since.
What can I say about a beautiful movie that has Johnny Depp,
Marlon Brando and Faye Dunaway all to me just brilliant
in their roles.
What I love about Don Juan DeMarco is the idea of masks
we wear and what is reality? Who defines what reality is?
Do we define it or do we allow others to do so?
The story is simple, the greatest lover the world has ever
known, Don Juan DeMarco (Johnny Depp) decides to kill himself.
Waiting for his last duel to arrive, the cops call in Dr.
Mickler (Marlon Brando) to get him off the roof. He finally
convinces Don Juan that he is Don Octavio and he must come
with him to his villa to rest. That is where our tale
truly begins.
If you want to know more, watch the movie. All I can say
is that you will swept away with Don Juan as everyone else
is in the movie.
One of the many highlights of the film is watching Marlon
Brando and Faye Dunaway together. To me it's like watching
magic unfolding when they are on screen. They light up.
And, Johnny, Johnny...all I can say is what a man!
Of course, I have a clip for you. Enjoy. One day,
I hope to meet you one day on the island of Eros. (If you don't
know what I mean, you will after seeing the movie.)

Hope so, because it's here. I am partial to January. I kind of get a double New Year in a way with my birthday weeks away.
Tomorrow is the first New Moon of 2011. Lovely Luna rises with Capricorn energy. All my Capricorns out there, it's your special New Moon.For all of us, it's a day to think, do or plan on what you like to achieve in January.
I know everyone is flush with new intentions, resolutions and words for 2011. I say for tomorrow do one thing/action toward your word, resolution or goal. Pick something you can do in thirty minutes or less. Making things easier for yourself can help you accomplish more.( I know that works for me.)
How can I forget the Solar Eclipse as well? Which I like to think of when the Sun and Moon get to kiss up in the sky.
