Today is one of those days. Hoping
as the day goes on, I'll feel more
upbeat.
Watching this gave my sluggish energy
a well needed boost. I knew I had to share

I didn't see this last Rocky movie,
I do give props to Sly. Most people
forget the original Rocky was really
like an indie film he wrote for himself
to actually have a decent role.
Then it blew up into this huge
film and of course the many sequels
after it.

Guess what? It's the Full Moon in Libra. This moon has many names I like the name Budding Trees Moon. With all the lovely Spring energy, we are all budding again full of new ideas and dreams we wish to manifest.
If you have Libra in your sun and moon sign, this is your Moon shine. For the rest of us we can still take advantage of this luminous Libra Moon. Libra is linked to Venus. This Full Moon is full of beauty, love, partnership, friendship and creativity.

I do my best to keep my blog full of light and love. Today I must speak about a shadow that is rampant in our world.
Since Monday, more news of sexual abuse by priests to children has come up again in the news.This is an ongoing problem..not only in the Catholic church.
It affects me deeply because of my friend Sean. For my long time readers, you know part of the story. For my newer ones, you may not.
Last year, my beautiful friend Sean died from a drug overdose. That's not what truly killed him. He was sexually abused by a priest for years. He did get justice against this priest. Justice and money can't erase the soul pain and memories.
Today, I signed up to become part of SNAP. The Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests. I'm hoping to be able to volunteer my time and energy to SNAP here in NYC. To honor Sean's memory and do something positive to help others who are survivors.
In my deepest grief last year, I made a choice to not allow myself to be consumed by my anger. Sean and I loved Star Wars. It's what initially brought us together. I decided to stay true to myself and not be turned to the Dark Side. Sean would have never wanted that for me. It is so easy to allow yourself to give up, become bitter, negative and destructive.
We all must find a way to be a Light in the Darkness. This is my way.
I didn't mean to be away for so long. I had a seriously busy week full of acting with auditions and gigs. I got a two week acting job working for a child psychologist. He does workshops to help Daycare centers. Me and four other actors were hired to improv situations the teachers face everyday in their classrooms. It's been a lot of fun and relearning how hard it is for teachers.
This beautiful card comes from Doreen Virtue's Goddess deck. This is the Goddess Ostara or also known as Eostre. Which is fitting for those who celebrate the Spring Equinox. Happy Ostara to all my magical friends out there. This is the day when light and dark are equal. From this point on the sunlight will be coming back in full force.
I have a very special project that I'm working on. Spring to me is a perfect time to make a fond wish come true.

Just had the clocks spring forward and Spring is less than a week away. The New Moon in Pisces comes at a perfect time.
What do to do under a Pisces Moon?
* Express yourself in whatever way you feel comfortable. Let those feelings you have inside be free. You'll feel better.
* Set one highly whimsical goal for Spring. Something you always wanted to do, or get, or see..though it's not practical. For once don't be practical! Being impractical now and again is good for the soul. For me, I want to get a beautiful velvet cloak and hood.
* Start a dream diary with this new moon. Keep it up till the next new moon. See what valuable information your dreams have for you.
* Especially for all my good girls and boys out there. Be self-indulgent and selfish for one day. If there are people to be saved or jobs crises to get done, let it go or even better Let someone else do it. The truth is if you wasn't there, someone else would have to do it anyway.
* Tonight make a wish on a star and believe it will come true.
My love of Unicorns go way back, they are one of my favorite fantasy creatures.
I use to imagine what if they are real? Hoping one day, I get a glimpse of them. (I still do.)

I've been watching the Oscars since I was 11! I slogged through long boring show and good ones too. I enjoyed last night since especially I thought I wouldn't be a able to see it with all the drama between Cablevision and ABC that had channel 7 off the air for almost a day.
Anyhoo.. Did your favorites win? I am way behind in my movie watching, so my cheering was for people I've always liked.
I was happy to see Mo'Nique win. I love that her dress and magnolia she wore in her hair was a tribute to Hattie McDaniel who was the first African American to win an Oscar in 1939. And Jeff Bridges, who I always thought is a good actor who never got enough play as he should. Got his gold, finally. Yipee for Sandra Bullock. Who is a fave for mine.
Even if you don't win the Oscar, you still win. You get to have front row seats to one of the biggest parties in the world and be recognized for your work.
I have an Oscar Dream which I'm sure millions of actors share. I like to believe I will get there. A beautiful dream whatever it is, can be a beacon of hope and encouragement especially when things don't feel good.
Keep your Dream or Dreams alive whatever they may be. You never know when, how or where they will come true.
Yesterday was a tough day for me. I surf in waves of optimism, sometimes when you hear someone talk about parts of your life back to you. It doesn't sound as good. In fact, it made me depressed. I came home and crawled into bed. I brooded, cried and sunk in to waves of woe is me.
Then, after a couple of hours of this. I got up, listened to music and danced. Then I did action steps for my Acting and my Tarot. I felt a lot better.
I woke up today, still a bit raw..yet feeling some of my optimism return. There are parts of my life that don't shine as well as I like. Hey, that is life sometimes. No one is perfect. As my acting teacher Hope would say, perfection is boring.
Happy March. Thank you all for celebrating with me my blog's Birthday over the weekend. Guess what? We have a new month! New adventures to begin. Spring is coming. See, even the pandas are happy about Spring coming.
